I don't really care about America's music. I just listen to who ever I like. The only bands I like are Nickelback, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin. Don't flame me about my favorite bands.

Those are some good bads. I'm just surprised that the station I listen to doesn't play them as often as they use to back in 2005. What has happened to good music?

Oh, and by the way, Gorillaz' creators, Damon Albarn (lead singer of Gorillaz and the long-running, Britpop band Blur) and Jamie Hewlett (comic book artist), are both British. Just thought I'd clarify.

Cool. I didn't know that. I just love the music.

If you mean American Idol, no I hate it too! Although it showed us why American music is so bad.

That and you have a guy on the show that enjoys making mean comments to the people singing. Why do people go on the show with their hopes of becoming pop singer ruinged by some dude who likes to make fun of people. Why?!

I'll can't remember the guys name but he's on American Idol. He jerk and has made fun of some people for their singing. I think they even let some Chinese guy in because he was terrible just for laughs.

My bad about making fun of of but the guy can be a sleeze sometimes. Did they let a chinese guy in because he was terrible. That's was wrong. I mean Electric 102.7 even had a recording of that session of the poor guy sing some song.

It is a nightmare when songs like "The Real Slim Shady" and other craptacular songs get away with being shitty. Please, make these songs suffer a slow and agonizing death
*say's again in darkside like voice*the dark side is strong with this thread
*composes self for serious response*
most of the good stuff come's from japan. j-rock as i think it's called is like a mix between techno(good techno) and rock (good rock).
i mean sure you can't understand a bloody word there saying but it kick's so much ass!

Evanescence is alright, if you listen to the lyrics it's like, (not a quote, just kind of a rough assessment) "slit my wrists and suffer and die" so it's sorta depressing, but the classical singing style/occasional strings plus the electric guitars and whatnot is an interesting blend, kinda like Disney and Square when they made Kingdom Hearts, but the really REALLY weird, gothic bands like Slipknot and Marilyn Manson creep me out a little, they make cool songs and all, but I wouldn't hang their pic up in my room. and again, Techno is teh sweetness!! glowsticks and strobes be my realm!

Have you heard the remakes done by Disney. They did a remake for the Lion King and The Little Mermaid sang by Raven from "That's so Raven".

Haseo:terrorofdeath wrote:Techno is okay. I heard from a friend that if you listen to Aladdin with the volume maxed out, you will hear creepy lines in the lyrics to the music like it saying "take off your clothes"

I think that this is probably true since the original Little Mermaid movie box had penises on it. It was aimed at the parents and a disney animator admitted to it and was fired for it. There were also things like that in The Lion King and I am kind of getting off topic so yeah, there is a lot of slease in american music. That is why I like it when there are no lyrics in the music, then you can hear it when something like that comes at you.
Are you serious about that? Geez... America has gone down the toilet. Why are they using something that reminds me of what Germans hypnotized people watching televison to do things and not realize it.
