So-Hee blinked as Zorlo used his abilities to seemingly take some of her stress away. She vaguely looked confused, letting go of her spoon. She turned to look towards Robert and Allen, "Oh..." She blushed, embarrassed more that she had not noticed them than her lack of eating her applesauce. "I'm just nervous for the test. If I study enough strategies in the books, I might be able to adapt." She looked back towards Zorlo, a little concerned. "You didn't have to do that."

"If I didn't, we'd definitely fail. You let yourself get too worried about this. I'm good enough to have only been struck once in these stupid tests. I let my guard down," the man stated as he stood up and cracked his neck. HIs fingers stretched out widely as he looked at the ceiling and bit his lip. "NOw I"m really excited for this. I can't wait to see what this stupid test has in store!"

"Your phone? Oh yeah, sure. I completely forgot about it." Robert handed it back. He bit into a particularly juicy plum, the juices ran down into his beard, but that's part of the reason it was there. Ah these are particularly good this season. He studied Zorlo's face, specifically the bags that had appeared on it. I could get rid of that fatigue for him, but if I did that Allen would have a harder time besting his score during the exam thing. "You shouldn't pull all nighters so much; makes it difficult to focus mentally and physically you will under perform."

He narrowed his eyes at So-Hee. "Books are great and all, but it's not the same. Here, let's strategize." Robert took her book and drew a diagram on the page. "You are here, you need to get here. But there are sentries here, and here, and here. What do you do? Oh, and you have ten seconds to come up with it. Go." He held up ten fingers and then started lowering them. "Ok, times up."

She looked confused, her mind not able to analyze the situation enough to come up with a strategy. It wasn't that she couldn't think of any, but she had studied so many that she couldn't pick one without wondering the other details. Nothing was established but people were in the way. Killing them or knocking them out hadn't even been established. She could feel a part of her panicking, as if she should be able to come up with one without even batting an eye.

‘What ever the exam has in store I’m gonna outshine you.’ “Thank you Robert.” Allen took his phone and checked his messages. Blank, just as they always were after someone sent him a mean text. Was it possible for someone to remotely erase messages? The people here gave him the phone, who knew what powers they had over his social life. Allen looked over the paper and concocted an idea, blurting it out. “Since we’re in pairs, if the objective is solely to place the Receiver in place than the Provider takes point.” Allen placed his fingers on the paper and positions the two. “Sentries are robots, so things like being a girl and pretty, or being a little kid don’t matter. So I think the Provider should use all his or her power to draw attention. Then the Receiver would lash out and crush any forces once their aim was focused. If the Receiver is good enough or fast enough, the Provider is safe and the Receiver can stroll along to the goal.” Allen smiled as he looked at Zorlo, “Oh, I’m challenging you.” Allen said with a smile, “Just once I wanna beat you.”

Zorlo looked at Allen. "Okay. You win," he stated as he shrugged. His mind was focused on removing his book from So-Hee's bag. He was managing quite well and finally managed to get his book back. "Much better," he stated as he returned to where he was reading. "This'll be a good chapter."

"That's one strategy Allen. Good job, but you forgot one little thing. For the example it's So-Hee, and she needs to get to the point." He took the book and added some details. "These are buildings one story high, this is a chain linked fence, and the sentries are human soldiers armed with rifle for simplicity's sake we'll say they're male. And the target location is the engine room of a ferry. We'll give you thirty seconds this time. Take too long and the ferry will leave without you." With all of the additional details at this point it might start to become clear that this was in fact part of the island, specifically the dock.

So-Hee's face concentrated, seeming to forget Robert was there. She closed her eyes and spoke. "I'd knock one of the sentries out and use their uniform and weapon to get any of the people that got in my way. If my cover was blown, I'd use my power, even if I hadn't let out the amount for Zorlo." She opened her eyes, starting to eat her applesauce again.

Zorlo looked at So-Hee and chuckled. "You've made it needlessly complex. If you let me enter first, I could just project a mental shield enhancement and cut down the guards… or if you really want to do it non-violently, I could simply bludgeon them out. From there, its a simple matter of messing with everything to get the ferry moving, I'd imagine," Zorlo stated with a shrug.

"I took a strategy that didn't include you. If you came with me, you'd be punished just as much." So-Hee's voice was soft, smiling towards him while starting to put her spoon down.

“Wait, I have an idea!” Allen scratches his chin, recalling her powers. “She’d be with Zorlo. Therefore, what we would do then is have So-Hee disperse a heavy fog. I think she can do that if I remember her powers right.” Allen draws a circle around where he’s place the fog. “But on the ferry you couldn’t do that. Instead, we would have the fog cover up the entire location up to the ferry. Have Zorlo stay close and manifest a shield. Once on the ferry, use So-Hee’s wind based power and ice powers to defend herself in closed quarters, while Zorlo makes weapons to beat the guards since there’s no way in hell that he would be stopped by mere sentry men. Also make sure you remove the entry way onto the ferry, I’ve seen Zorlo’s swords slice steel so it shouldn’t be that hard.” Allen points at the imaginary ferry, “Once in the engine room she should just flood it out and kill all the men inside.” Allen smiled and looked at Robert, then at So-Hee and Zorlo, “Did I mess up any details?” He asked nervously, not entirely sure if he fully understood their powers, or even if what he said was possible. “You forgot to use So-Hee’s natural beauty as a distraction. She could totally catch guards off guard. “Shhhh, that’s cheating.”

"Punished? Oh, so you figured out what this is. You were right not to include Zorlo. The question was what would you do to get yourself from point A to point B." Robert stood up and walked around to stand behind So-Hee. "It's not a bad strategy, pretty much what I did once in fact." He smiled at her as he leaned over and reached around her. "But there are a couple of fatal flaws." Robert grabbed her chest. "I said for simplicity all of the guards were male, didn't I?" He jumped back and returned to his seat with an unapologetic grin. Robert nodded at Allen's plan. "Not a terrible plan, Allen." He shut the book. "We can do some more strategizing later. It's almost time to go and So-Hee has barely touched her food."

"Ehhh… Calling psionic crystal weapons that can cleave steel isn't exactly easy. If I were manifesting a barrier AND a sword of that caliber and quality, I'd burn out the energy the lovely miss So-Hee gave me very quickly. My ability to fly… float, and my talents with other minor psychic powers would help as well though. There are a lot of options… but she's right. If I wasn't there… which I would be because I wouldn't want to put her in danger, mind you… I think she'd probably… do what you said sounds smart, Allan," he said as his head began to spin. He was tired now.

"Are you sure you'll be alright for the test?" So-Hee's voice was soft as she kept the blush from getting too dark. "You can just give it back and I'll be fine." She motioned for Robert to move gently. She quickly finished her food and brought Zorlo towards an empty classroom. Part of her was worried, but she knew that he needed more energy if he was taking on what she did. She kissed him, giving him as much energy as she could without tiring her out. She didn't say anything else as she started walking towards the location of the test, the nearby gymnasium.

Zorlo shook her off after she'd finished and sighed. "The hell is wrong with-" he started to say, but she was gone. The green-haired (or now green-haired anyway) man walked after her and sighed. "What an odd girl," he stated with a sigh.

On their walk to the gym Robert tried to reassure his partner. "Just remember Allen, if you get worked up just take a moment to focus and breathe. And when you want me to use Kaiju, just shout clearly Kaiju, or now, or something more urgent."

Allen nodded, and made note that Robert planned to use her sex as a factor. “Told you! See Robert figured it out. Girls versus guys, girls always, always, always win.” Allen shook off the words of Lucie, and she sighed, “Can we please talk later? You haven’t talked to me in forever. I’m getting lonely. Toni isn’t a good friend; he’s obsessed with you.” Allen turned to face her and gave a solemn nod. She walked off in the opposite direction. “I’ll play with him so he doesn’t bug you during your test. Remember Billy isn’t real, and your Dad doesn’t hate you.” She smiled and waved, running. ‘Stupid Minnie Mouse dress… I hope she doesn’t drone on too much.’ Allen turned and noticed Robert had spoken to him. “Hey I got an idea. I’m gonna say “Release.”” Allen nodded, “When I say “Release” I want you to make me a Kaiju, and if I say “Revert” or something like that, or if I hurt anyone or activate shrink me.” Allen said looking Robert in the eye. “I don’t want another incident, and if I activate, being a giant monster will be bad, the pandemonium could infect the entire school.” Allen admits, afraid of his own power. ‘I’m normal, but when I activate the people around me get hurt. My powers are uncontrollable… unstable… dangerous’

"Release, got it. But Allen, you probably won't be able to say Revert Allen. Your mouth won't work the same way. But as soon as it's over, if I think it's getting dangerous, or I think you're trying to say revert I'll turn you back." Robert held his fist out for Allen to bump it just outside the gymnasium.

Inside the Gymnasium, a large group of people were sitting in assigned bleachers. At the center of the gym were two seats, teachers sitting in them as they waited for rest of the people to show up. When the last people showed up, the male teacher spoke and stood up. "Your combat tests today will be in groups of four. We'll have a two on two match to gauge abilities. If you go as far as to harm your opponents beyond this measure, the west dorm and south dorms will interfere and you will have to retake it another time." He turned to the woman, who began to read off who was battling when.

"Zorlo Amaranthine and So-Hee Chang will battle Allen King and Robert Giles. The battle will happen on the east side of the gymnasium."

"Well, that guy gets his wish sooner than he expected. I can't say I'm gonna give him everything I've got, m'dear. If he wants to beat me so bad, I'll let him. Victory means nothing to me anyway," Zorlo stated as power swirled around him and lifted him almost a foot into the air. "I will, however, give a good show," he stated with a smile to his Provider. "Don't get your panties in a bunch if things start to look bad for me. Just make sure if I die my body is presented well at the funeral pyre," Zorlo said with an impish smirk towards his partner.
