Kuukai wrote:How so? CC2 had a guild called Treasure Hacker, the original title of .hack. They considered playing the game to be "research" for the game. If you mean timewise, remember it was in beta from 2001. I'm not making these up (well, except for Eek the Cat, that's a joke). Ask me about the second law of thermodynamics.
What I meant by 'harder to explain' is the amount of words used ^^

hmmm, at this point, I believe it's pretty common for something to be inspired by another thing. It happens everyday everywhere, since mankind created things.

comment on screenshot,
so.. it seems like you can equip any armor with any weapon, huh?
(Tsukasa's robe, dancing haze, baldr's armor, alkaid's blade, etc)

btw, any update?

So is it like one of those games where you flick at the screen to attack your opponent?

There is a possibility about that since it is related towards its mobile operating systems for i-devices and android.

*imagining rubbing on i-pod really hard*

Ow... yup, possibly.

Oh My Sweet Manipulative Morgana, is that Kite?? With flaming eyes shooting evil dark matter out of his right hand?? O.o
And Klarinette~ ♥ My beautiful Klarinette.
Is it just me or they hired different artist on their artworks? Because I notice several style applied.

lastly, looks like Crimson VS is back (?)

You've got to be kidding me...

Forget all the Kites, this is the sixth version of The World excluding Fragment. And I don't mean, like, a reimagined, pure fantasy version of The World, I mean the setting for this is a new version of The World from .hack, called The World: Armed conflict. And mysterious things happen in the game that the player is trying to figure out.

We've been had! This is just .hack!

@o@ A Crimson VS that has the front cover of .hack//Link as a card along with other familiar characters~

They aren't actually selling it, it's free.

no way, they're making free game?

Ah, don't get me wrong btw, I don't feel displeased seeing 'Kite' there. I'm just shocked. But i'm grinning over here OwO This whole Guilty Dragon stuff makes me happy.

I wonder what his role there. Let's hope there's also Haseo as First Phase, or Tokio the Time Keeper. That would be awesome. Aaaand I can't help but thinking.. that Kite's design somewhat resembles dragon. Just see the pattern on his upper clothing, like a scale isn't it?

Yes, the game is free.

Since you play a player playing The World, the Kite character might not even be part of the game's official story. He might be Azure Kite or Twilight Knight Kite. Or, like VS, he could be something CC Corp incorporated into the game from The World's history.

Am I the one one who finds it weird The World went from like 10 classes to 40 classes to 3 classes this season?

wait wait, I still don't get this. Is Guilty Dragon's setting is entirely pure fantasy (you know like Tales of series or FF) or the setting is 'a-game-created-by-some-greedy-company-and-we-play-as-player'? I'm sorry but I can't read Japanese, and from the information on BBS it's implied that GD is pure fantasy (that's what I thought from beginning)

And as for your thought about job, Kuukai... I think that is contextual...
If GD really is a spin-off (the pure fantasy setting I was hoping about) then 3 classes maybe enough. Like, back to basic.

Hmm could be they only have 3 classes to see if its popular, then if so they could make an upgraded (maybe console) version as 3 classes covers the basics. Any more work for a free game may seem too much for CC2, plus its a new system to fight?

It's exactly what I just said. Hence the surprise in my message. You're playing as someone playing a version of The World. It's basically a .hack game. That's the surprise. It wasn't announced as a pure fantasy RPG, they just said "the story is {blah blah blah fantasy story}" and we all kind of assumed that meant it was a "real" version of The World because they didn't say anything at all about fictional online RPGs. What we didn't know is that no, it's the game version of The World, revision 6 or so. It now says, "this is the newest version of The World from '.hack.' The player will chase the mysteries of the game." So basically .hack. Maybe a looser-fitting .hack canon-wise because it doesn't begin with .hack//, but making it still take place in The World is pretty blatant.

The three classes correspond to the three warring factions so I think that's all we'll get.

They're now billing this as a "social RPG," which probably explains the free-ness and the guild system. There are pay items.

Average .hack Fan vs. CC2:

VICTORY: CC2!

CC2: Tralalala Hahhahhah Tralalalalalahahhahhah!

But. No. Seventh? I'm conflicted .hack was darting for an end. Yet, The World:Armed conflict, the online game that everyone wanted and its free. No... wait a damn second. Isn't this .... cheating!? What about mama, real digitization, piroshi. Am I suppose to think of this like people did with Solatorobo? Hec, I see Tanaku in this game and I'm calling CC2 on it. Still Kite's character design reminds of an Xth form for Tri Edge. The Twilight Knights are gone so maybe Guilty Dragon occurs after the series? Either way I guess CC2 really loves .hack.

I'll reserve actual judgment for if I ever play the game. Or see videos of it on YouTube, which is very likely how close I'll get to playing it. >_>

That.... somewhat let down OTL
There goes our chance to see pure fantasy of The World.
CC2 What have you done?! I can understand if they finally released The World we can play as our own avatar. But social games sucks! You can't be solo player in it.
I'm gonna scream about instead of making new game i REALLY wish they would add English SUBTITTLE on Sekai no Mukou ni and Versus.

Now excuse me as I sit in the corner, sulking.

Huh, so it's still The World, huh?

What's Kite's deal here then? Did Aura make some improvements to the Knight of the Azure Flame?
