Bump

((Wasn't really sure where to go from there. I guess dawn.))
Jiles awoke early and headed downstairs. The only other people up at this hour seemed to be the inn master's son and another mercenary. His footsteps had been soft enough that the boy almost fell out of his chair when Jiles put his coin on the counter. He had the boy fetch him milk, bread, cheese, and some ham. A sufficient, if cold, breakfast. He sat at a table on the opposite wall of the room from the stairs and angled himself so that he could see the door as well as the stairs. The other merc was doing much the same as Jiles, although he was almost finished with his food.

Smoke billowed through the crack underneath his door. Fire. He immediately rolled off his bed, swinging his pack onto his shoulder, he placed his hand onto the metal knob. He yanked it away immediately feeling the burn. The fire was all around him. He rushed to the windows. Both locked. He grabbed a nearby object, realized it was a sword, and slammed the pommel into the window. Smashed it immediately, and leaped on the scaffolding. He missed it by a whisper. Crashed to the ground. Happy to be alive.
