Re: Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn
Uh, I threw caution to the wind and went to the New York Anime Festival, stood in line for like an hour, got a ticket, stood in line for another hour, and had a brief two minute chat and then picture with Tomino as he signed my Haro. Told him Ring was very Tomino-esque (I define this as almost anything with the pilot wedge technique), he said "really?" I translated something from one of my friends, and then I was on my way. I'm just glad I knew Japanese, since there was epic interpreter fail during his keynote, and Ring wasn't subbed. I'm also glad I read a summary of Ring in advance because that **** was all over the place...

Re: Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn
It seems far less epic when in detail... Sadness.
Now see, you should have brought that Haro to Nan Desu Kan.
We had Rika Matsumoto, the voice of Haro.
Having Haro sign a Haro would be most epic.

Ore ga Shujinkou de Iinsuka?!

Already seen her in person. Didn't get to talk to her though... >.>
Anyway, it's probably more epic than I made it sound, it was totally worth the trip. I got a photo with me, Tomino, and Haro!
He's pretty badass, too. During Q&A the con tried to ask him a bunch of vetted questions people on ANN submitted, and Tomino was like, "screw that, let's talk to the people came all the way here." He still thinks that videogames are a waste of time and that mobile suits are ugly and impractical, though... ;_; No one asked him directly about Unicorn, but he did talk a bit about how he can't control where the series is going. At the very least, Ring and Turn A rope in the universe significantly... Oh, he also said that the main characters in Turn A would have been Newtypes had they been born in space...

Off-topic but.
Anyhow, any new trailers for Gundam UC or is it still the same one from Anime Expo? I'm really digging the art style they reverted back to for the characters, is it because they're hand drawing it instead?
Make it happen!Q: Will we ever see a Crossbone Gundam anime?
TOMINO: Can you go find me some investors? (laughter and applause)
