Seeing everyone pull out weapons made Rayne slowly ease back so she was behind the three instead of in line with them, as she had been taught to do in a possible battle situation. "I understand, Yuri. Just let me know what kind of Hymnos you need, and I'll do my best.." she said softly, mentally fighting off the embarrassment that was adding a light pink color back to her cheeks at the thought of having to sing for these three men whom she had never met before in her life. It's the duty of a Reyvetail to use our gift to aid those in need....I can do this.

Rayne closed her eyes, calming herself down again. "They're close..." Her voice was even softer now. It was barely above a whisper. Opening her eyes slowly, she raised her hand and pointed towards the north-east. "Really close."

Yuri: { looks over his shoulder and sees rayne and can tell shes embarssed} hey rayne if you dont want to sing right now then you dont have too I understand { he turns around and smiles at her plafully} as a partners you dont have to do what your not comfortable with { he slices a shadow beast in half and then one sneaks up from behind and slices his arm} ow { he splits it in half} ow damn I got to be more careful man I really liked this jacket too

Derrick appeared on the horizon where Rayne was pointing. He stopped, smiling as he looked at the group down the road from him. behind him was a trail of dead creatures, some split in half, others pierced on trees, but no matter where they were lying still, their viscera decorated the area around them. Derrick looked back at them, then smiled even more demonically. He then turned back to the group, taking care not to alarm them. he kept his weapons sheathed as he slowly walked over to them..

Saki-ta and Mahiru were sitting inside the shop, near a warm fire. "You two always like that don't you?" Lucine spoke, chuckling at their seemingly embarrassed gestures. Her body was sitting in a comfy chair, staring into the fire. "Hopefully they don't attack us. We have done nothing wrong."

Yuri: { his sword turns back into its regular form and he holds it while its stabbed into the ground} see I did warn you that it was a weird weapon { he walks over to rayne} you allright I'd hate to have you get hurt on our first mission but seriously if you dont want to sing then you dont have 2 its must be embarssing having to sing for total strangers I'm sure your good hell probably even better then any other reyvetail but its your choice do what you feel like { he sees derrick walking towards them slowly} *what the hell* hey chance how about you now injuries

Chance had sliced through a couple of the beasts and then he left Yuri and Nago to handle anything that came at them from the front and rushed into the treeline to the right and cut one down, but another came up on his left, fortunately his armor protected him and he backhanded it, stunning it long enough for him to cut it down with his blade. As Yuri called his name he leaped out of the trees at the same time as another beast did from the other side of Rayne. He shouldered it in the air and pinned it to the ground with his sword next to the songstress.

"I'm fine Yuri." He pulls out a cloth and cleans his ebony blade as he turns to face his mentor, he drops his weapon and the cloth when he spots Yuri's injured arm. "Ah, I'm sorry. I left your side." He rushes to his mentor and begins cleaning the wound. This wouldn't have happened if I had listened to him.

Yuri: its fine dont worry about chance { he pulls his arm away and he wacks a beast in the face with his cross knocking it flying } and chance to go off on your own again okay and thanks { he sticks his cross into the ground and he holds onto it} but since you didnt follow my orders your stuck on dishes duty for the next 2 days { he wacks another beast about to slash rayne} Damn these things r per sistent { the cross morphs into his sword again}

Derrick saw that they weren't noticing his presence, and said a small prayer of thanks directed up at the sky. He then continued walking towards them, speeding up as he did so. eventually he broke into a dash, heading straight for Rayne. his weapons were still concealed. After getting within ten meters of her, he prepared to jump, still keeping his weapons concealed for the sake of surprising his target. He smirked,"Reyvateil.. Knights of Grand Bell... your time is almost up.." he sprang into the air, drawing both of his dual-edged swords at once. his scarf covered his mouth, and hidden beneath it was a smile so demonic that would've caused icy chills to run through even an elder dragon's bone marrow..

A large creature pushed Derrick back, it a strange and rather unknown presence. It seemed not to care that Rayne was in danger, but that it was in danger because of Derrik's presence. It used a clawed hand, pushing him into the woods about a half a foot. It did not cause him to hit anything sharp, but it was walking towards him with heavy steps. After a few moments, it seemed to hear something, passing Derrick completely and running further in.

Yuri: { notices derrick and then he sees him get pushed back by the beast} heh never thought I'be be thankful to a beast hey chance nago lets get out of here we took care of the beasts { he walks back ith them and his weapon reverting back to its middle sized form he sticks in his pocket but he stop and looks over his shoulder} ehh come and try me if you want { he walks with them again} well I say we did well

Derrick jumped out of the forest, landing on the floor in a combat stance,"damn beast... I'll get it back some day.." he stared at Yuri,"I'm terribly sorry, good sir knight.. but I operate on a basis of not being disrupted. If something stops me from fulfilling the task I set myself, then that task is no longer worth accomplishing.." he sheathed his swords, taking out a shurikenade. He threw it at the floor in front of him,"such is the path I choose to follow... now I shall take my leave. oh yes... I heard there was a Grand Bell castle town near here... it would be a good place to start my work.." he grinned as the shurikenade exploded, leaving a large amount of smoke behind it,"maybe you'll be able to marvel in the destruction that will have ensued there by the time you reach it.." the smoke cleared, and Derrick was nowhere to be seen..

Yuri: okay rayne chance time to go now { he runs as fast as he can towards the town} Damn! I knew it was a bad idea to come out here your fault nago { he quickly stops and drifts around a tree and he keeps running but then he comes to a stop} hey rayne chance........................ I'm lost can one of you guys lead the way

Only two days of kp duty, that doesn't sound too bad. He glances at his sword lying on the ground. I guess I'll have to wait till later to clean it. He gets one of those bad feelings when Derrick shows up. Before following after Yuri he runs the cloth down his blade, getting most of the blood off, and bows his head in the direction the beast took and whispers quietly. "Thank you Spirits." He then started running after Yuri. With the armor on he wasn't as fast as the knight, but it wasn't difficult to follow him. "Yes sir, I know how to get there, or at least the direction to go." He glanced up at the sun to orient himself and then began running. He finally stopped running to take a short breather at the top of a hill on the outskirts of the town.

Yuri: { follows chance and stands next to him and rayne} huh it looks fine to me I wonder was it just a threat { he sits down} break time { he lies back and shuts his eyes} so tired lets take a break now { he opens his eyes and he sits up and rubs his head}

Rayne remained standing once they had stopped running. Thankfully, what the man had said had been simply a threat, and from where they stood, it seemed no one was hurt within the castle.

"Um," With her gaze at the ground now, Rayne spoke up, though her tone in itself was low. "I apologize fully to both of you for not being helpful back there..It's my responsibility to help you both if your injured, as well as to use other songs to help with the actual fighting, and as a β-type Reyvateil, I shouldn't act as I did and get even a little bit nervous..." Rayne was lightly chewing on the inside of her lip as she looked up at both of them slowly with a timid look reflecting in her gaze.

"I'm sorry," she repeated quietly.

Yuri: hey { he looks up at her} dont worry about it its fine I can tell you can probably sing good I wont force you to do what you dont want too rayne you sing when you want too k { he smiles at her and then he stands up} well lets get back to town and go to the snack place I need some sweets { he streches} ell lets go you 2 and chance your traing starts tommorow

Rayne was glad to see that Yuri wasn't upset with her, but was instead, shockingly, accepting of it. He was understanding about it. Hopefully Chance would be the same way. "Thank you," she whispered with a smile as she caught his gaze momentarely. Within a second, however, she broke her gaze away and looked back towards the town. It was a stunningly beautiful town, but then again, all of the Grand Knight castle towns that hadn't been destroyed in an attack were.

"As I said before, wherever you two decide to go, I'll follow." Turning back towards Chance and Yuri, Rayne smiled a little wider, feeling the nervousness that had crept into her subconscious before fade away completely again. It had been a rediculous reason for it to appear in the first place, as she had noted when apologizing.

"Oh, and if you still wish to know about the partnership between a knight and their appointed Reyvateil, Chance, I can attempt to explain, I suppose when we stop at the snack shop, if that's alright with you." She hadn't forgotten their topics of conversation before the beasts had attacked them, and if he was still curious, Rayne was willing to try giving him an answer. After all, it seemed Yuri wasn't even really sure of the answer, so it may help them all out somehow or another if she were to try explaining it.

Yuri: { he arrivees at the snack shop with rayne and chance and he buys 3 popsicles} here { he puts one in his mouth and hands rayne and chance one}

Leglius: commander nago theirs a metting regarding the sacred army and the holy maiden siding with them we lost contact with a few knight groups please sir come with me we need to talk this over with the chancellor

Yuri: {sits down at a table with chance and Rayne} now I guess we can take this time to get to know eachother so Rayne anything your interested in you dont have to act like its your duty as a reyveteil to me I think of you as my friend and as my partner I hate people who treat ryveteils as weapons of fighting { he makes a tight fist but he sticks his hand in his pocket and then pulls his hand out and it isnt a fist anymore} sorry about that I get worked up sometimes

Chance nods to Yuri, and a small smile crept to his lips. "Thank you Lady Rayne, I would appreciate that very much."

He examined the popsicle for a moment and glanced over at what Yuri was doing with it. He licked it tentatively. Mhmm, delicious. They never had anything like this in the orphanage, or at the training academy. I wonder if I'll get the chance to have these again in the future. I wonder what else there is out here in the rest of the world. He looks around the bar, although he had been out here, looking for Yuri, Chance had never really stopped anywhere. The world seemed so new and interesting.
