Is it really wise to continue separating the stories into canon and non canon? The writers of the series don't share the same views as the fans. The number of crossovers between the two is growing. I personally think Kite in .hack//LINK is an example of that. If they say the main story is based around the games or if only one version of the media exist isn't that the only thing they are limited by?
