Because it won't have the same limits as a human would, obviously. Theoretically, an AI is limited only by it's hardware and programming. A Seed AI can alter it's programming for infinite improvement, and could eventually seize the entire universe as a computational device, ala Digital Physics. ANYthing can be used as a computational device like we do with modern day silicon. On the future, you might be able to calculate the economic status of the entire planet on the atoms of a glass of water.

but what happens when the seed gets a virus or becomes corrupt the human race already relies on to much technology now if it becomes corrupt wont that end bad if its ahead on many things now like if it is running a nuclear weapon facility and it becomes corrupt then what

A mere program is one thing, but don't you think a MIND will notice a virus? And since said mind can alter it's own programming, it could delete the virus. As for being corrupt, that's what Friendly AI is for, to create an AI that both cares about, and WANTS to care about, the safety and happiness of the human race. Seriously, you make it sound like people aren't taking precautions. The movies aren't that accurate, an AI won't kill us like that.

We'll probably evolve along with it. What, you think we're just gonna sit on our hands? The whole point of a Seed AI is to initiate a Technological Singularity, in which case, humanity would enter a transhuman, or posthuman, existence.

You misunderstand. A Friendly AI isn't an AI that's forced, by it's programming, to be friendly. It would be an AI that WANTS to be friendly out of love, companionship, and compassion. It would have empathy and actually give a rat's ass about us simply because it wants to, and wouldn't want to STOP caring. Stop watching that Terminator/Matrix ****, because those scenarios are really unlikely.
