Volume 3 translation is done

I just hope it isn't ant-climatic like the others. I mean, it's the Sage Palace Tournament, and the Champion is Taihaku, who's considered to be the strongest player in the game. The guy made it through the Forest of Pain, and actually fought everything in there. I mean, I know what happens at the end is the same... but I mean everything leading up to it.

But didn't Haseo also compleate the Forest Of Pain too? I remember reading that on the forums in vol.2

Oh yeah, he did. But he was way too under-leveled for the area, and kept having to run from the monsters. And he died lots of times. Taihaku just cut through them easily.

if you die during the fop, you can;t enter again, it was said in roots.

That´s right... to make us happy goes against the company policy.
Even if the game is already done they are gonna make us wait like 5 months or so... we will get it before the end of this year for sure... (or Cc corp will be caught in a misterius fire... again. oh, i get now what was the reason for the first fire

)

Technically, the game is done. They're just doing this little thing to hold people off until it comes out (Or to have an excuse for waiting )

How can we tell that? Where is the correlation between Sony issuing a number and a translation being "mostly done"? It could just be an anomaly, like if they decided to reserve the next spot already...

Yuri said he finished recording Vol.3 awhile before 2 came out though. Wouldn't that mean translation is mostly done if not complete already?

No, only that the recordings for him are ready.
The ingame text has to be translated and the voices have to be integrated as well.

Well obviously the ingame text needs to be translated before he can record, otherwise they wouldn't know what to say.

Actually they have scripts for spoken text which can be used for both, subtitles and dubs.
Everything else takes its time and I'm sure, they don't translate the whole game before starting the recording sessions. Do the dubs first, then comes the rest.
The credits even list a seperate entity for translating the game text.

I've got news for you. Despite the fact that Redemption is coming along, that doesn't mean they're going to release them right after one another. Its all marketing. They split thier series into 3 games each worth 40 dollars. If they were to release them closer together they would loose money. Think of it this way. You have 50 dollars to spend on a game. There are 2 awesome games coming out that you absolutely must have. They are both made by the same company. You have money for one. That makes you choose between them. That sort of competition is counterproductive and is a practice often avoided by smart game companies. Now if the two games were made by two different companies at the same price, that would be good competition. That will inspire game companies to produce higher quality games and at the same in doing so, this will benefit the consumer. Executives are out there to make money and the idea that we as consumers are enjoying a game that companies produce, doesn't mean we have to compete with ourselves. Trust me. It is better to leave the competition between the game companies. Its all about money you know. The fact we are getting a great series and storyline that inspires and shocks us is only a plus. Like a cool breeze blowing at our back

I am in no hurry anyway. i just got vol 2 so i can waaaaaaaaaaaait.
furthemore... as long as they don´t screw up and i can play it this year i will be ok...

but i wanted to say the fire thing anyway (?) lol.

most of the Dot hack games are Just a rehash of what u played the vol befor .

take the first 4 .. were said to be able to fit onto 1 DVD9 if they realy wanted .. and im thining the same would have been with this .. if they did not recape the same Data into the next game ..
