the point of the SIGNS

ive only played vol 1 and 2 and quarentine and havent seen roots but i dont think the signs were made to transport but to create a way for ovan to lure in azure kite and get rid of the threat towards aida because every area other than the one in the video yata shows in vol 1 that has a sign in it is where azure kite appears. or for aida to suprise attack any players that may transport to the area or they were using the signs to slowly copy the data of the areas so that they can make aida servers in which they can observe players again and infect more players. it seems logical though cuz if you look at the signs they are all in different types of terrained areas
this is just a theory on my part yet again lol

Ovan's purpose was not to kill Azure kite, he had only one purpose: Haseo. The Azure knights are only a nuisance to him, which he disposes of easily. The only reason why he would want to lure Azure Kite would be to use him somehow, like by making him fight Haseo.
Also, the reason he prematurely shows himself in Vol 2 was because he was running out of time, and AIDA was growing too fast. He gave Haseo a new purpose by doing this, which was important to his plans: kill Ovan.
It's very likely he can control whether or not a Sign even has a particular destination, since he can obviously control what destination it is. If Haseo tried to warp at the Hulle Granz Cathedral Sign, it would probably lead off the server somewhere, into blank data, like in Roots.

lol. That was sick when Haseo was floating in the air chasing after the virus core.

Is it really Ovan that chooses where they go or AIDA? Considering to make the Signs he has to use AIDA's power makes me wonder if he really has control of where they end up going.

They probably BOTH do, since they're working together to make them.

Indeed.
Ovans Gun,with the AIDA arm and weapon.
But that dosn't mean that Ovan could stop AIDA from creating them if he wanted to.

Oh ok thanks for the info. I guess they do have an "understanding" as he said.

Yeah. Otherwise it would be too much of a coincidence to find a "SIGN" that conviently took you to Moon Tree when it was blocked off.

However,The AIDA is likely abke to take control and make them itself,as it may have done in the case of Shino.
Those sigs would either be enpty, such as the ones at the bragonbeine range,or they would lead to empty data.
Of course,I'm not going to mention the Hulle Granze Cathedrals sign, due to this thrad being about where it may go.

I'm thinking that neither the AIDA nor Ovan have complete control, and that his Sign creating outbursts are a moment of uncontrolled instability by both parties.

I don't think there are Signs that lead "Nowhere". I think at the inception of creation they already have a destination. The only exception possibly being the Sign in the Creator's Room.

I dont think so,
being as he makes one at will in Volume 2 to prove to Haseo that he is the real Tri-Edge
His AIDA was already acting up at that point.
It was willing.

As far as we know, the Hulle Grnz Cathedral sign leads nowhere.
That,until proven differently,is proof enough.

Well, it's leads nowhere in the three volumes of G.U. That is, us just playing the game. But, saying the online version were real (Well, it is real, just not as good yet) and somebody who actually
was Haseo just decided to warp through it one day, yes, it would lead
somewhere, but we'll never know where unless the creators decide to answer someones fanmail asking where it leads.

If it lead somewhere,Haseo would be able to target it and us an option menu with it.
Thus,it techically leads nowhere.

Yeah, I know. What i'm saying is IRL, he would be able to. But since the creators of the G.U. games didn't program that in there (Because it serves no storyline purpose) we can't do it.

The game is designed so that you experience anything you could in the real MMORPG experience, such as the option menus epitaph users with Yata's program get when they look at a sign.
Either it leads nowhere,it's being saved for the OVA(big theory) or it;s protected due to location.

Hmm... guess i'll except that. I was just saying 'cause there are alot of things you can't do in the games that would be possible in a MMORPG version that was
exactly the same as the one the character's are playing in the game. I would like to see it in the OVA though ^.^

According to GU+, the Sign DOES lead somewhere. But you need to actually go and touch it, which you can't do.

In the games anyway. In //Roots, Haseo beat the crap out of the altar after Shino died.

Where does it lead in GU+? I'm probably not up to that point (only ch06).
Anyway, GU+ isn't actual cannon, so anything could be anything and it wouldn't really matter, nay? I'm not contradicting you or anything, I'm just saying...
