Karma has come to bite Umbra in the *ss since he's been doing bad things.

Hhhmmm..... really can't think of a title, it has to deal with everything going back to what it was in the beginning, they should have really saved Rebirth.

we dismissed //regeneration for the same reason as we would //recovery.
It dosn't go with the original title very well.

That's why I like Repose. It means pretty much what the original title does, fits the scene better, is a good counterpart to "Rebirth", and connotates themes like "Recovery" too...

.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Reject/Rejection. 'cus Haseo rejects being the ToD.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Renounce. For same reason.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Relinquish. Haseo does this a lot in the series. He lets go of Ovan.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Rove/Roving. Fits with walking pace. I don't really like it though.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Roam/Roaming. Same as above.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Ramble/Rambling. Eck...God, I hope not. Fits with walking pace though.
.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Resplendence/Resplendent. Bright, shining. I like it, but it's got nothing to do with walking pace. I just like the word

I like .hack//G.U. Vol.3//Repose. I'd love .hack//G.U. Vol.3//Andante. But I can't see them discontinuing the R/Re theme.

What about //Rubato?
That seems to work pretty well...

Sorry, not a music person, so when I first saw that I thought "RUUBEEDDOOO", a .hack/Xenosaga crossover...

That's a really good suggestion though.

Rubato means rob in latin or greek (can't remember.) It's usually a slower tempo where you steal part of the value of a note and give it to another. Rubato and, "At a walking pace" have nothing to do with eachother.

That's true according to its standard connotations in music, but based on other possible interpretations of the word, and some of the ways in which it is sometimes used in actual conversation, it does make sense...
It could be interpreted to mean "relaxed", as it means "not played in strict tempo", which goes along with the idea of "at a walking pace", i.e. somewhat laid-back and on the slower side.

Plus it just sounds like something that they might use for a subtitle in .hack in general. I have considered the fact that not too many people are familiar with the word, but then again, it's not like "liminality" is the kind of word you encounter very often either...

The titles of the GU games seem to be more mellow than the originals. You went from Infection to Mutation to Outbreak to Quarantine. The titles get more evil sounding. But GU has been Rebirth and Reminisce, so I think Repose sounds about right. Plus, it fits with "At walking pace."

I think it could be redemption, as well.

 Haseo redeems his old ways, Ovan redeems himself for his deception, etc..

I also think Restored makes sense... but it's not very aesthetic. It should have been "Rebirth", but so much for that.
