Hehe, don't worry about not finding this topic for a while its ok. As for becoming a professional writer I hope things work out for you. One day I myself want to become a novelist. ^_^ If your a fiction writer and if your book gets published you will have to let me know. I will gladly read it and give you some feed back on it. ^_^

Welcome Shadowofchaos and Hybrid. Don't worry about making too much of a fool of yourself. Everyone has had those days and hopefully you'll find your own pace here. If you need anyone to talk to, this community is more than welcoming as I've seen over the years. Enjoy your stay.

I recently got caught up in this again (or for the first time really) after looking at my old PS2 games. Bought the entire season of SIGN, loved it, and decided to check out the rest of the thing.
So, uh, tidbits about me...
I am trying to be a professional writer and am trying to get something published right now.

Actually, that's the reason I'm here in the first place, since I love stories about a character with some sort of emotional pains that I can relate to like Tsukasa in SIGN. This is also the first forum I've joined since I left my old forum home for four years after a disastrous event that happened last year, so I'm a bit rusty. Let's see how many times I can make a fool of myself a week!
if you like you could post your stories in the creative writing section, I'd love to read one.

I'd probably have to post one of the few short stories I did (though, honestly, I am not very good a writing short works; I put too much depth into things). But I guess I might put a couple of chapters of the book on here...it is the first of a series of five books, so it's not like I'm revealing much, but I tend to be a bit nervous when posting stuff like that. I'm surprised I was even fine with mention I'm a writer on here, since I usually keep that to myself.

Oh thank god!
Maybe the RolePlay section will finally ameliorate itself after three years of decadence!

Well, that also requires people to be interested in participating.

From my experience, it doesn't happen often...

Hi, hi, newbie here.
I'm a 23 years old computer engineer, former MMO developer, who has some fun in AI research.
I'm not especially a DotHack fan, but it has something that charms me a little, and fits very well with activities I have. I registered here in order to find people able to give me another view about DotHack than mine, and probably a more player-oriented view of it, but I keep this for the topic I'll launch... "when it's done".
I'm a french guy, and if I have no problem to understand english, I'm not so done with writing it, so please excuse me in advance for all the strange sentences that I will surely write (if not ever done ^^').

Welcome to the boards, Mod. Don't worry about language issues. We all have problems even with our native language. Have fun and enjoy your time on dothackers.

Ah, here we are. Was looking for a thread like this. Well, I'm Dyle! I've been a fan of .hack since QUARANTINE came out in America. My cousin showed it to me, and I LOVED the idea of an (actually offline) ORPG and the supernatural behind it all. I was in and out with liking .hack, until I just started loving it after watching SIGN. So as of today, I've been collecting as much .hack stuff as possible. If you want to know what's in the collection, do ask!
As for joining this site, I followed "dothackers" on Twitter (I was super excited to find there was a live updating site to fill me in on information!), and even had some talk with them(?) about stuff too. My ultimate goal is to hopefully build a reputation and become a moderator or something along those lines, because I've felt my knowledge for .hack has been going to waste keeping it to just myself.
As for anything beyond .hack, I listen to pretty much ANY music, I watch very little anime but do enjoy it, and I'm a huge Don Bluth/Disney fan.
I also am available to talk to if any of you need advice or just a vent.
So I hope I enjoy my stay here! And I welcome everyone else new here too!

I dont know if I qualify as new or not. I used to be a rather active member here (atleast on the rp boards) somewhere between five-seven years ago. Think my handle was clouded_one, but I may be wrong. Anyway, recently got back into .//hack again (only two episodes into roots, I suck I know) so more then likely you can just find me reading up on some new things that confuse the hell out of me, or being an old fogey and reminising about//sign. So yeah, heres to good times kiddos.
