No, we don't understand that part. I was just talking about the part where they undid everything the .hackers did.

CC2 has always wanted to get Aura back because when Aura was in control it was considered the "Golden Years" for CC2 AND "The World". Aura was considered the "perfect AI". The fact that the phases can act semi-independent and even talk means they are infact an AI. Even if they needed a host to act, it was proven that they are infact AI's:
1. If data can talk on it's own that has to be AI.
2. If data can act on it's own it also has to be AI.
3. Skeith used Sora's PC to move through the world freely on a sub-conscious level.
4. Skeith has the ability to go "berserk" which really means that is has deviated from it's host control and is acting on it's own accord.
It seems that Skeith's actions while "berserk" where anger and aggression which seems to mimic the users attitude and playing style. Sora seemed to enjoy PKing as much as Haseo began to enjoy it even if Haseo's data was corrupted and his mind was somehow altered they both had that same pleasure. I think? It's a possiblity that emotions somehow effect the phases. Just a possibility is what I'm saying. But anything that is data and can deviate from it's root command like the Phases is an AI. Now if Morrganna Mode Gone had re-written the root commands and sub-commands that is different.....I think.
Maybe I'm just stupid......and this is a bunch of crap. Does what I said even relate to the topic? I didn't feel like reading everything.....
Anyone ever watch the movie "WarGames"? Love it!

I somewhat agree to your post...

I'm sorry, but what does "WarGames" have to do with anything? >.>

She was the Ultimate AI, not the perfect one. There's a difference.
Technically, an NPC could do all of those.

None of that is really relevant.

the phases gain the ability to feel any emotions that the epitaph user they are conected to does.
Skeith almost left Haseo once in vol 3 because he thought that he didn't need haseo anymore.

I just realized something...
With the whole Haseo = Sora thing.
It would have to be SOME PRETTY BAD amnesia to not remember from roots...
silver knight!
How the heck could Haseo not even remember him, even WITH his memory loss, they hung out a lot in SIGN.

here's your answer:
Haseo isn't sora.
there ya goI didn't mean to come of rude, sorry if that offended you.

Actual answer: He does have pretty bad amnesia.
Also, as an unscripted, dynamic conversationalist, Skeith is not an NPC. NPCs are actually a fuzzy concept in Vol.3, with a lot of them almost "crossing the line" into AI category, but one thing that consistently seems to qualify all of them as NPCs is their lack of reaction to any player dialogue. They just go on with what they're saying, whereas AIs react, which, by the definitions of the two, makes a lot of sense.

Except Haseo has no memory of playing R:1, So he would think that he has never played before.
I still think he's Sora.

If he is Sora, he wouldn't remember anything whatsoever from The World R:1.
EDIT:
GOD! Why does everyone beat me to it?!?

Usually a human controls what NPC's say, and an AI talks
on its own.

*knocks self* Oh, sorry, I thought you were referring to being able to talk without a human initiating conversation.

AT has been wrong before...just not as often as he's right...
And with the whole Silver Knight/Ginkan in .hack//Roots thing, Ginkan smiles as Haseo leaves, which in hindsight makes it look like he expected Haseo to say what he did...

Why are people so damn defensive to all the evidence pointing at Haseo being Sora? Even friggin Yata..no bad example, even friggin Ovan Shino or pi must have acted even a little like Sora when they were 9! People G.row U.p like!
