Re: .Hack//LOST (Part "B": BREAKING THROUGH)
(It's okay Hollow44, just as long as you post at least ONCE a day. )
After having escaped the OuterDungeon through the rift and having arrived back to Obstructed Leading Gate, Indigo felt an imence pressure pull her down to her feet; her hands fell to the harsh dry grass as she looked up and starred at the portal behind her. It was still there.
She lay still for a moment, thinking about what to do. It was too dangerous to go back inside. With her hitpoints decreasing slowly to zero, if she were to get struck at least twice by that creature she would fall. However she couldn't just leave Sauna's character like that. Not without getting some answers first, she thought.
She quickly found the strength to lift herself up and then started towards the portal once more time. She passed Keith by, not looking at him once and approached the gate. She lowered her head and then glanced at him.
"There is a monster inside, none of which we have ever encountered. It doesn't seem to be any ordinary monster either. A single touch from it can poisen your character...like it did to me. And worse still, there isn't a cure for that poisen." She said.
Without another moment to spare and dashed inside the portal and once again entered the outer world that was the Outer Dungeon. Her feet landed on the odd tiled floor within the blue world and the first thing she noticed was the monster's presence not far from where she stood. It echoed as soon as she saw it; a signal that it had seen her.
A moment later she spotted the still active portal in which Sauna stood in. He looked at her with a worried look and started to wish he had never called her to come.
"We finally found a lead..." She said to herself. "And I'm not about to loose it."
She dashed with great speed deeper into the unknown, closer to the monster. Finally she reached the portal with Sauna inside, and she approached it, looking at him desprately.
"Tell me! How can we help you?" She shouted. "We need to know now, please. Tell us!"
Sauna looked behind her, where a cloud of dark mass approached. He realized it wasn't the actual black creature, but a hord of arms all coming straight towards Indigo with great speed. He then looked at her, his heart pounding and his eyes becoming blurry.
"The sacred place!" He cried. "Find the holy land, and I'll find you. But you must hurry...it might be our last chance...Indigo." Tears streamed downwards.
Indigo turned around moments before the arms made impact. At the same time the portal in which Sauna was in began to close leaving him with only the sight of a hundred arms reaching towards her already ill character.
"Iiiiiinnnnndddiiiiiigooo!" He shouted. But it was late, the portal had closed entirely. And without enough time to avoid it the arms came crashing down on Indigo--but in the brink of the impact a shadow landed in front of her and released a blinding light that spread everywhere like a wave of air; this force sent Indigo way across to the other side, close to the edge. She could feel her body become heavy and her breathing, harder. She lifted her head and saw a man stopping the impact of the black mass.
"Clas..ko...?" However, Indigo's mind dwelled deeply into an unexpected sleep and was surrounded by immediate darkness.
The man's blinding light overcame the darkness of the black mass and seconds later it was gone from the Outer Dungeon, leaving behind a crumpling world. With a new tremor shaking the place, and with only moments before the entire area collaspsed, he reached for Indigo and carried her out of the Outer Dungeon where he met up with the other members; all of them puzzled by his sudden appearance.
Gently he lay Indigo on the grass beneath and turned to them. He was too stunned for words, and was too worried about Indigo's real life state to say anything.
In his radar, he noticed another member hiding not far from where they stood. The individual was identified as Tundra.

Re: .Hack//LOST (Part "B": BREAKING THROUGH)
As he observed the madness of these last few minutes Tundra truly didn't know how to feel about all this. Should he feel worried for the girls well being, or should he be afraid of that monster, or should he be interested by that character the girl was talking too, or maybe just maybe, he should be uncontrolably happy at finally finding a lead of merit. No matter how he decided to feel, he realized to late that he had failed to keep enough distance between the group and himself, and sure enough they had spotted him. Oh well, it wasn't like he was going to keep stalking them like this forever, sooner or later he would have had to come to the forefront to continue his search, to bad it turned out to be sooner rather than later. In any case his annonymity was no longer the greatest issue, it was the girls well being, he was not about to let it happen in his presence again. So without a further thought he walked slowly out of the shadow to see if the girl was alright, keeping an eye on the man who had just appeared, because clearly he was the one to watch.
We are all but leaves being carried on the river of time, Sometimes the river is calm and peaceful, and sometimes the current is fast and strong, Until one day, when we are finally washed ashore and released from the rivers grasp.

Shirai looked at Tundra with a glaring hint in his eyes,"a stalker hunh.... that's the last thing I need..." he turned away and looked at the man,"and you... I know we've met at least five times before.. Clasko..." he sighed,"you wouldn't happen to know about Yoshpetos... would you?" he wasn't expecting an answer just acknowledgment of his question.

WARNING: EXTREMELY LONG POST *********PLEASE READ ANYWAYS OR ELSE!!!!!
Clasko turned his head over and starred at the new comer, Tundra. As he came out and revealed himself Clasko could feel the rest of the users feel uncertain. Afterwards he slowly stood up and glanced at Indigo one last time. There was a brief rush of wind around the forest, and then there was silence.
"Now is not the time to answer your question." Clasko said, referring to Shirai. "Right now I have to make sure this young lady is fine in the real world." They began to feel bewildered as to why he should be focused on the girls actual health. After all, it was only a game.
"I'm terribly sorry these things have been occuring..." He said then, with a slightly lower tone in his voice. "Trust me when I say our superiors have been trying to do everything in their power to supress the situation. And since a couple of you don't know me.." He paused then, sharing a glance between Shirai and Tundra. "I'm a CC-Corp system administrator, and thats how I knew to arrive here and help you. We have been keeping the activities of this player, and her on-going search for her brother's game character on record since the day he was registered missing from the system." He finished, talking about Indigo and her brother Sauna.
Suddenly, Indigo's avatar began to move from where she layed. At first it was only some movement in her fingers, but when she stood half way up and glared at the system administrator she realized it was the same one who had saved them from the same creature two days ago. Clasko turned when he saw her stand up and immediately kneeled down to help. Once she was back on her feet, she looked at everyone and felt dizzy all of a sudden.
"Thank you..." She said softly. "You saved us again."
Clasko remained quiet as he looked at her, greatly relieved that she was back and by the looks of it, well.
"But...you said you had known about my brother's dissapearance earlier." She continued, weak. "Why didn't you tell us since day one? Why did you keep this from us, from me?" She clutched her fists together with great pressure and looked down. Clasko noticed and stepped back.
"I...I did not have the permission to disclose the information. As a matter of fact, I shouldn't have said anything." He replied uneasily. "When we realized shortly after Sauna had vanished from the game, that he had fallen ill in the real world we knew it was connected to this game somehow. So we began an investigation to try to find a valid link. However, we had no way of obtaining any information. And then, when we figured out you were receiving messages from your Sauna's game character we decided to stand back and observe you instead."
Indigo closed her eyes and couldn't make up her mind about anything. She lifted her head and looked at Clasko then, still undecisive. "So you rather let us try and figure it out for you, huh. And let me guess, the least you can do is help us when we're in danger...like you did just now..." She paused. She didn't know wether to be angry that they would use her to continue their investigation, or happy because someone else, with some higher power, was actually helping them. In the end she lifted her hands in front of her and remembered touching the invisible wall that separated Sauna's hands from hers.
"All I know, is that Sauna's game character is somehow trying to reach me...and that my actual brother Sauna is laying in a hospital bed in the real world, struggling to survive some unknown mental disease. And that, I keep feeling, as though his character, is actually Sauna in some way. And I don't know how thats possible, but thats what I feel."
"So tell me, Clasko...What else are your hiding from me? What else are keeping from all of us? Huh?" She urged on. Anxious to find something out and perhaps find more pieces to put the puzzle together. Clasko in the other hand knew he could not say anything else. He was probably in great trouble for speaking about Sauna already. Finally he turned around and looked at the rest of the users, all of whom were shocked by the magnitude of the situation.
"I'm sorry Indigo, but until I am granted permission I cannot disclose further information." He said. "All I can say is, you'll be monitoring your search for Sauna and we'll help anyway we can. But in return you cannot say anything about this to anyone, including all of you too." He finished, pointed to the users. "Well, I will email all of you with more information regarding that "black mass"."
"Until then.." His character vanished in a special red aura. Indigo watched with great anger as he vanished from the field.
Now that the unknown entities were gone the area had returned to it's stable state. Nothing about it was off, and the background music had returned aswell. The lamps that swung above the trees moved side to side as the wind passed through the players. There was an opening between the darkness of the leaves and branches that allowed the moon's light to come into the area they stood on. It was almost warming to her.

Indigo stood up from the ground soon after she had regained her energy and turned to her side where she noticed the player Tundra; who had been hiding from sight for quit some time now since the appearance of the portal. She glanced at him for a moment before actually asking who he was. She was surprised no one else seemed to have been alert of his presence before.
"Tundra. That must be your name, right? Clasko's survaillance device said your name..." She told him.

Tundra looked at the girl and had to chuckle on the inside as he was greatly reminded of why he disliked admin's, regardless, it would seem as though he owed her some answers, and honestly what could it hurt at this point anyway. Without another thought he replied "That is correct, my name is Tundra, and in reply to his earlier comment" turning to face the one who so eloquently called him a stalker "im not a stalker, i mearly decided to follow you because i was curious as to why an entire party showed up in an area that i was investigating. I only kept my distance because i did not know what you're intent or purpose was and considering what ive seen in the world lately, i figured it prudent to stay back until i did know." he paused for a second as he looked back at the girl before going on "Now that ive introduced and defended myself, who are you, and if you don't mind me asking, why were you in that area?"

Shirai lazily replied,"you could've just been friendly instead of 'stalking' us..." he pouted slightly,"this area was an old event that happened about five years back. it was called 'noctem', but I was about the only person to attend, so it got cancelled a day later..." he looked back at the group,"well guys, I honestly should be logging off now... I've been dodging my homework and I need to get it done. so I'm off with a bang!" his character vanished in a puff of smoke, the light rings clearly visible behind the 'mask'.

((My apologies for not being active. I regret to inform you that my laptop is not functional at the moment, and I'm in the process of sending it for repairs. However, I can still role-play using public computers or the one at my cousin's house. So I might not reply as quick. I hope you can forgive my absence and continue to role-play. I'm happy we've made it this far but we still need a couple of more storyline to go. With that said, I will resume my role-playing obligations. ^^))
Indigo kept quiet as Shirai responded to Tundra. And after he had decided to log out she turned and starred at Tundra before resuming her explaination.
"My name is Indigo. The player who just left is my party-member, Shirai. The rest behind you are Keith, Yoshikuni, and Kyo. They are also in my party. And the reason we were in this area is because we were to meet someone. And as you can tell, iregularities began to occur at the same time." She paused and then walked pass him until she had approached the rest of the party. All of them were concerned, and above all exhuasted. She recognized that it was going to be too dangerous to continue.
"You know, we've been through alot today so...I think we should just call it a day." She said. "We should log out and meet up tommarow again, when we can discuss what our next choice is going to be." She then turned around and looked at Tundra, who seemed unsatisfied with the information he had received.
"I don't know why you were investigating this field," She said softly. "But your presence here might not have been just a coincidence. If you want to meet up with us tommarow, I'll give you my member-address."
She sent him the invitation and then turned around to look at the others.
"Well, I think I'm going to be off now. I need to think some things through...and, tommarow we will meet up again at our usual spot. Um, the big oak tree just outside the root town of Dol Donna." Afterwards she gave Tundra one last stare and when the blue aura appeared around her she was gone out of sight.

Yoshikuni frustratedly restarted his computer. He had been having trouble with it for quite some time now and he had to clean the computer up a bit. He checked his mail, and saw that he had a new message:
Yoshikuni, we have tracked some mysterious activity to your character. If this activity does not cease, we are obligated to terminate your account. Please take heed of this warning,
Onyx, System Administrator.
What did I do wrong? He thought. Nothing, he decided. Sulkingly he turned off the computer and fell exhaustedly into bed.

Re: .Hack//LOST (Part "B": BREAKING THROUGH)
(No one can declare a roleplay officially dead unless it is the creator. And seeing as how I'm back and have no reason to just give up on this roleplay I declare this a "Critical RP". This means that while it might be a failing roleplay it is not dead yet and can still be healed. So Iim willing continue the story and finished what I started ONLY if the rest of the members also agree to step back into the story and finish it. So with that said I want everyone who still believes in this roleplay, and anyone who actually wants to be part of it again, to please post a comment saying "I accept". If you dont then I will assume you have given up on this project and you will not be bothered anymore. If the majority of the team accepts then those that did not will be replaced with new characters. I hope i have made myself clear. If you have any questions please PM me.)
I accept.

Re: .Hack//LOST *CRITICAL STATUS*
I cannot accept. I just can't pull myself back into this, especially after the story turned into drivel ._.

Re: .Hack//LOST *CRITICAL STATUS*
(I accept, but I'd like to get a small recap over what I missed, if possible. ^^;;)
