What do you feel the requirments to being an Anime is? A long, drawn out drama? I think it is the style of animation that causes it to be concidered an anime. Some people say that any animated media that is not CGI is and anime, so in that case, yes. ATHF is an anime.
ATHF isn't anime just because it's animated. You might think of Dora the Exlorer and Spongebob as being anime just because it's animated and the "style" is different, but I don't. Anime is a type of animation, not all of animation.

I said some people might see anime as any animated show. I also later go on to say that I feel it is a style of animation that makes it anime, and ATHF is what I feel an "Animated Comedy" not an anime, read the whole thing of what I said before you go and repeat me with an answer. Cartoons, Animated Comedy, Anime, all different things, I know this, I was simply saying what some people may see, and why one MIGHT say it is.
In case you missed the point, which apparently you did, I was speaking in response to people who did think all animation was anime. Get it?
On that note, never list wikipedia as a source of info, it is made by anyone on the web and has been known to be wrong on many occasions, anyone can edit it.
Thank you Lieutenant pretentious. Don't talk to me like I'm some sort of child that's new to the internet; I was merely giving an example. I figured it was common sense that not all animations were anime, but it seems some people lacked that so I posted a somewhat reliable source. How did I know it was somewhat reliable? Because I actually READ IT and assessed that it was right. This isn't an academic paper, so get off it.
