For the Avatar battle faq:
Azure Flame God's Tiger Claws attack can be more easy to handle if you dash sideways like crazy while slashing. They don't approach you as fast if you do since you'll have lots of speed too so that helps a lot for that.
Also Zer0, i don't think it would be too much hassle to just list the names of those who've contributed ;)

@Jonfireblade: Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone to just put everything into Zer0's guide since he's gotten further on it? I mean compared to what you have on the first page now.
I think it'd be better if you joined hands with Zer0 in organizing the information and putting it into the guide he's written up now.
@Zer0: Yeah, something like that

You can still be specific as to what people have contributed to if you'd like after all, but keeping it all in one place seems to make a bit more sense if you ask me.

You mean have them all in a big list as opposed to have them throughout the guide
yeah that tends to work well. thats what i'm doing for this, everyone is just getting their named added to a list at the end of the guide.

Sounds like a better idea than mine :p I'll do that right away. Should it be in the top, or at the bottom with the credits?
Bottom would be the more common pick. Though top would be a bit interesting since people would almost be -forced- to read them as opposed to bottom where most don't o.O;

I understand how you feel, believe me if I were you I'd be saying the same thing. I have a tendency to see possible problems like that. However I can assure you that I've already organized the info on my computer at home that Zero has already posted. But atm I'm at achool and not able to work on the guide at this moment. but trust me as soon as I get home the first thing I'm doing is putting up an update. I respect your suggestion, and hopeully you'll see that really I left a larg part of what people are posting alone, really I'm just breaking down into sections and putting the peices of it that go together in the first post. allow me to make my first update and then we can talk about revising it to make it better. unlike ppl i've seen in the past, i'm not a topic tarant and i don't have a problem with taking suggestings and making improvments.

Zer0 wrote:How does that look, Akunaeru?
Well, i suggest you could make it into more of a list.
Code: Select all
People who have contributed:
Person one - What he did
Person two - what he did
Person three - what she did
or something.
But like i said, i think You and JonFireBlade should get together and compile the information on what you've got so far Zer0. It would be such a waste of time if JonFireBlade would go and write and organize all the information that you've already written and organized, wouldn't it?
I'm just talking about what would give the best result the quickest after all :)
Edit: oh right, you posted while i was typing up mine xD Anyways, couldn't we look at both and see which one people think is organized and the best? Then we could work off that one.
I'll write up a walkthrough for different sections the next time i play through the game (that would be as soon as i'm done playing Nwn with a friend), ok?

@Akunaeru: Thanks, I've added your suggestion with proper credit. =)
@zer0: Stop, you're making me blush
Please feel free to use it, and edit the headings and whatnot to fit your walkthrough project.
I've done some copy-editing to it, but I may have missed a word or two somewhere, it's a bad habit of mine lol.
@JonFireBlade: Not to be obnoxious, but I think zer0 stated he was working on this walkthrough project and started putting it together before this topic was even posted. I offered my assistance to help him (her?) with this project before the big disclaimer was added that all of our materials would be hacked into little pieces and regurgitated into one big creditless guide by you. I will continue to assist zer0, as I think he's doing a great job, and I respect him for taking this on.
If anything I contribute is helpful to others, that is fine, and as long as I'm asked, or if I offer outright, I don't mind if it's redistributed elsewhere. However, IMHO, you're being a bit assumptive and pushy, and your disclaimer seems a bit on the late side, especially considering the project had already been claimed by zer0. By all means, chop up and regurgitate information if that's what you feel you need to do, but zer0 started this, and I hope he finishes it, for use here, or to be redistributed as he sees fit. Sorry if this seems offensive, but it's just how I see it.
(and sorry if I got the gender wrong, zer0)

yea i can agree with that. but really it isnt me vs him on who can organize better. really I have kinda have to do the organizing due to i'm the only one who can edit the first post aside from a mod. But really like I said it's a group effort and I'm obviously willing to make improvments at any time. and I really dont have to do a lot of typing, mostly its just cut and paste. For now, like you suggested, I'm going to post the first update about 4:OO ish east time. from there we can make improvements and add sections, which is what i hoped to do to begin with. lol, no more debates =P. Lets just wait till 4:00 then work from there.
EDIT:

dude i understand, but really this whole topic is about helping each other out. All I'm doing is adding the info that comes into this topic to the first post in an organized form. I'm not claiming to take away Zer0's project. infact if it wasnt for him and a bunch of other ppl who have/are posting then this topic wouldnt work. it's just about helping each other out. that's all, believe me i'm not claiming any this as my own ideas. so sry if i sounded offensive.

Hehe, yeah, i'm not thinking any you vs him either. In the end, we all just want it to end up as good as possible, right? ;)

I'm not a "dude"
I understand, and no hard feelings. You obviously have good intents, the whole disclaimer thing just seemed a bit too much for a "helpful" project, since if we're already posting to help people, what are we being warned about? That sort of thing is legal jargon for, "If you post any info here, it's no longer considered yours to do what you wish with." Sorry if I overreacted, and good luck with your re-organization.

Hehe^^
So i know, is there anyone who have begun writing up a walkthrough for where to go and what to do in the game yet?
Posted: Thu Nov 02, 2006 10:17 am
by Akuta
Ok, should i bother writing one at all or should i leave it to you? I don't really knwo if i'd use what you have written there though, as i write in a different style and it'd be akward and hard to follow.
If you decide that you should write it, i suggest you split it up into sections somewhat. Make up names or something^^
Edit: I think i managed that too =o Ah well, i seem to be good at spamming, so i bet i did xD

Hehe ; )
Ok, i'll start writing it either tonight or tomorrow, ok? I know everything you're supposed to do and i'm good at writing up long pieces of text, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle^^

I can provide area information (level, item level, element, area type, weather, critters, chests, breakable objects, etc) for each of the keyword areas provided during the main story, if that would be helpful.
Congrats on 300th post, zer0.

For the Monster Guide:
Black Raptor = Delta, Spring's Red Plum's Gate
Fate Crab = Delta, Spring's Red Plum's Gate
Horn Archelon = Delta, Spring's Red Plum's Gate
I just finished that area
For the weapon guide, just where you can get them:
--Gun
Water Bayonet - Trade w/ Kuhn
Missing: Gun Hong (was on my other list, I'm pretty sure)
--Fist
Tiger Fist - Trade w/ Pi
--Lance
Golden Spear - Trade w/ Piros the 3rd
For the Accessory list, where you can get it and what it does:
----Accessory List
Seal of Yu Wang - Kestrel Guild Shop - Arts Knowledge (SP cons. -10% for Arts, +5 for other). Fire +2, Water -1
Crown of Lu Ming - Moon Tree Guild Shop - Magic Knowledge (SP cons. -10% for Attack Magic, +5 for other). Fire -1, Water +2
Secret News Book - Empireo Guild Shop - Drop Ratio +10%, all elem +1
Simple Steam Ring - Mecha Grunty campaign, save M.G. 5 times. Fire/Water +3
Steam Bracelet - Mecha Grunty campaign, save M.G. 20 times. Fire/Water +5
I'm really bad about remembering what was dropped or found as treasure in areas unless I was just there, so for now, that's all I've got.
Edit: You can also find Blaze Drakes (whoohoo), Goblin Knights, and Carrieannes (like you can't find Carrieannes and Goblin Knights in 90% of the 40+ areas

) at Delta: Closed Gray Resort - the Blaze Drakes drop Fire Wings, and the temple chest contained a Sleep Hong.
