After that, it's nothing but pure grinding and item collecting. Then once you've done that, there's nothing left to do but re-roll. And do it again.
Anyways, if PSU wants my vote, it'll have to be a LOT less linear.
I unsterstand what you mean

too repetitive of gameplay in pso and the whole cheaters in the game making it too easy to get rare stuff made it a bit less interesting.
[P.S.- see i told you i made a thread for this bredan

I WILL NOT get this game because it comes out the same day as G.U.

Right, for those of us who have a 360 and an xbox live Gold account, there's an open beta that can be downloaded for two days ( i think it might only be one day left now) and can be played freely untill oct. 18th.
I'm going to get a month of gold payed tomorrow. I wanted to play some more ghost recon online anyway.

PSO was great. PSU... not so much. It has lost its soul =/ Fun at times, but no PSO.

lol that didnt stop me from getting PSU, or .hack//GU
anyway i had fun with PSU, too bad the S rank weapons are expensive, the one i bought looks awesome. as far as extra mode, i think id get bored with it too quickly at least until i manage to level up my character so that i have more quests to work with since a lot of them have a level requirment.

I played it and liked it but I kinda sucked at the game, I kept dying and my teammates weren't really helping me. I would consider getting it since this is the only possible chance of being able to play online with other people.

I never played PSO, only PSU. And i think it's cool, just can get boring after you've finished....the Extra Mode is really boring.

i had pso for the gc and always played it offline, but i pretty much loved it
and i also loved the prospect of playing it online one day. and then there was psu, which looked immense and i said to myself, if there's an mmo i'm going to play, it's going to be this one. but so far, i've got no where near getting it, plus i have no time or money to spend on it :'(
but i would really love to experience playing it when i have the time and money

yeah back when i had a character for the DC version of PSO ive always wanted to try to go online with it. Although it was a bit discouraging to learn that there were some players who would hack your character completly making you lose all your gil and items and turn you into a character from one of the offline quests, and then the item stealers just made it seem not worth it. Luckily PSO for the GC came out and they fixed it so if you die your money and your weapon werent left on the floor in the area you died at, giving the chance of some @$$ coming a long and stealing it. In addition, i really enjoy the new areas they added, especially the jungle area.
Unfortunately i still dont have enough money so that i can go online with either game

but at least i can still play offline and be able to play in a group so that makes up for it.
as for PSU, i kinda wish they had an offline multiplayer mode like with PSO for GC

Bought it and beaten it. Not worth the money people. The same walk around and chop things down to size not to mention the plot and the voice acting.
I really thought I was enjoying myself by using so many different weapons at once but that also got old. The synthesis is a pain and pete your robot. It thinks of you as a son.
The game was bad. So I didn't bother to sign-up for the online version.

thats where you made your mistake i admit offline is kinda blah but online is where the game is brought to life
