It all has to do with Ovan? I've seen some of .hack//ROOTS and the only thing I know is that he's after the Key of Twilight. But, if he knew about the key of twilight in the first place, than he should've known that it wouldn't be in the revision of the world, right?

Atleast that's what I think. Jun was talking about how Ovan somehow figured out about the events that had recently happened in the World before Version R:2...SO WHAT THE HELL IS OVAN AFTER?! lol

Jun theorized that if someone worthy of the Avatars logged into the World, the World would give them the rejuvenated Epitaph PC.

For some reason I expect Ovan to make a quick out of character descision to save "The World".

I get the feeling that Ovan is Bear but that would just be weird.

Harald's Ghost cursed Amagi... but on the other hand, it says the real Harald's dead... And his presence in The World R:2 is non existent. I wonder if they show pictures of an 80% destroyed world, or what the Epitaph Experiment was going to look like?

EDIT: So they took the whole Pc/Avatar relation from Skeith latching onto Sora, if I understand this correctly?

Nope. Whenever The World's destruction and errors and stuff are mentioned, they either show a fuzzy login screen or a blank screen with "System error". Same for the Epitaph Users, it just shows snaps of the 8 Phases.
The Disc was done very cheaply, images are recycled everywhere.

And yeah, they took it from Skeith/Sora and Macha/Mia.

Interesting.. heh, lucky Sora quit before all this, then again I'm not sure he would cooperate with such a thing.

It depends on how much his experience changed his personality. If he kept the same personality he might have done it just for the hell of it.

Hrm... Sora as Avatar Skeith instead of Haseo? It'd be a totally different story if that was the case.

I don't see why though. I believe Sora had a crush on Curl, for the times he could remember her, it was never in a malevolent way. Though Skeith took thay her away from him, even going as far as Data Draining her, I would think Sora could not forgive Skeith for that.

Well the Sora we saw in SIGN would love to have an Avatar PC. If only so he could screw around with a powerful new toy.

But like I said, he seemed a bit more mature when he appeared in Unison. So it's hard to say what he would have done.

Personally I think he would have jumped at the chance to get a bit of revenge on Skeith by dominating him. But that's just me.

I neverr thought about it like that, and it would be under his control to activate at any time he wished (that could have turned out ugly). Though back on topic, (sorry about that folks) I think the experiment failed because Amagi tried to play God without knowing the rules of the system. He claims that an anti-existence cannot appear, even going as far to create a "dummy" phase.

Not to mention his envy of Harald, drove him to insane limit's. Even trying to create another Ultimate AI, for him to control, if this would have succeeded (though I'm not sure how it could possibly have) maybe I needf to reread this again.

But I agree, that it was either the Anti Existence, or a malfunction in the dummy Tarvos that created the problem. Maybe even a combination of both.

One has to wonder though, what happened to the Dummy? Was it sent into Amagai's brain? Is it floating in the system? Could there possibly be two Tarvos Avatars wandering around now?If that was the case would the new dummy wielder be as hot as Pai is? And if so would they fight each other in a vat of whipped cream?

If Amagi did achieve his goal, then Tri-Edge would have Data Drained him anyway. AIDAs seem to have a keen sense of what's real and what's not, and what's Aura and what's a fake. Since Tri-Edge seems like a powerful, smart, intellectual AIDA, then he could tell the difference between an imposter and a real one. Tri-Edge also is smart if he split himself into fragments, for the one Haseo, Pai, and Kuhn beat could've been a fake, but we don't know for sure, 'cause we'll have to wait till "Volume 2: A Voice That Reminds Me Of You "comes out.

Tri-Edge didn't exist in the system back then, did he?

You never know, he could have existed in the system during Kite and co., and he could have existed in the system during Shugo's side-story.

Was it because it was a dummy that Amagi was spared from a coma? Not to mention, those other 7 "epitaph weilder's" would never wake up, now that any lead was instantaneously destroyed, right?

Yeah... though considering what happened to him, maybe if would have been better if he was in a coma too.

BTW, did the other canditates die in the fire?
