The likely answer I can think of is that they played the earlier version of the world, before Pk'ers became more rampant and incidents like that began to occur more. I don't really think Crim would be Ovan, they're attitudes just seem to different to me for them to be the same guy, though there is that comment BT made to him that you have to take into account. "Why don't you act like Crim in the real world" I might be wrong about that though.
Crim if anything probably has too much work on his hands to play that much anymore, but you never know.

yes. Also japanese people belive they are tricky and also shapeshift thats why you say moshi moshi on the telephone to see if you are talking to a kitsune who is tring to trick you because they can't say the word moshi moshi. But I think that tanuki was a hacker.

But it could also be a voice changer as well. One bad thing about online games is that you have no idea who you are seeing. Tanuki and Racoons look alot alike so it could be either one. I kinda find him annoying though

He says that he plays the world to kill time, but I think there is something more to it then just that.
This series will most likely turn out like Sign, multiple teams looking for the key of the twilight, only to find themselves all in the same position and end up teaming up.
