Not that any distinction was ever made early on between PCs and AI.

It wasn't really a mystery to me. They tell you that Tsukasa can't log out in the first episode, then at the end they show some girl fainted. From playing MMORPG's, I would say a girl would make a character like Tsukasa and not a character like Ginkan.
