Guild Info

Post by Shinsou Wotan »

Raven
Name means: a large, black bird, related to the crow.
Emblem depicts: a bald eagle
Guildmaster: Yata
Little is known about this guild, but its small home contains the "Serpent of Knowledge".

Canard
Name means: an aircraft with the tailplane ahead of the lifting surface. Also French for "duck".
Emblem depicts: P-38 Lightning (a twin fuselage fighter with the tail in the usual place).
Guildmaster: Silabus
This guild was founded to support newbies. Its attitude is fairly laid-back, and its rank is low. Its home is quite small. The current number of members is 2.

Kestrel
Name means: any of a number of small falcons
Emblem depicts: a lion.
With about five thousand members, this large-scale militaristic guild is one of the two great guilds in "The World R:2". Due to the guildmaster's laissez-faire attitude, there are a large number of PKs here.

Tsuki no Ki
Name means: Moon Tree, Lunar Tree, Tree of the Moon, or any of several similar translations.
Emblem depicts: Full moon and tree branches, along with a motif reminiscent of a traditional Japanese building.
Guildmaster: Keyaki
One of the two great guilds of "The World R:2". With about one thousand members, it, like Kestrel, has an entire area for its home. This guild values peace and harmony, and forbids fights between players. The guild is divided into seven companies ("The Seven Branches"), led by Keyaki, Sakaki, Matsu, and four others.

That does seem quite likely, Sakaki does appear to be the more aggressive of the two and I think he'd love to get rid of PKing once and for all. I can imagine the Guild's pacifists siding with Keyaki while activists join Sakaki.

So Silabus is the Carnard Guildmaster? And Gaspard is the only other member? No wonder they are threatened by Kestrel so easily. But I wonder who the Kestrel Guildmaster is.

Canard has 2 members? I guess that means there isn't a minimum number of members to form a guild or obtain an @home. I do hope we get to see a schism in the Lunar Tree during the game. Perhaps a guild war between the Lunar Tree who follow Sakaki and Kestrel.

I'm sure there'll be a large amount of in-fighting with Lunar Tree as well...

I can imagine that adding to Atoli's character. She's a pacifist, but appears to be a good friend of Sakaki's, would she struggle to decide where her loyalties lie?

I'm not surprised that Carnard is so small, in a world full of PKs, who would leave themselves as such open targets unless they were truly dedicated? I can imagine Kuhn leaving for the same reason Krim left the Crimson Knights.

I suppose I should clarify. As of .hack//CELL, Silabus and Gaspard are the only members. We do not know for sure how many it had when founded, nor how many it has at the time of the game.

If there were only two during CELL, I think it would be safe to assume there are only two now.

However, you do have a point, we know there were at least three members in the past. Both Silabus and Gaspard were members when Kuhn was, and both looked up to him.

So did he pass on the rank of Guildmaster to Silabus? I find it doubtful that a Guildmaster would look up to a member.

I don't see why they would do something like that, I mean it seems unlikely that Bordeaux, Negimaru, and Grein will be your allies, but their classes were still confirmed.
at 1:16 of the second trailer kinda look like Bordeaux helping haseo and gaspard is dead.

There's only one reason why Bordeaux and her friends would help Haseo, given his circumstances.

Bordeaux is about to PK Haseo at that point, while Silabus is helping him out.

That would be the point when Pai appears and gets rid of Bordeaux.

We have seen no evidence to suggest that Bordeaux, Negimaru, and Grein would help Haseo, though I will admit there is no evidence to the contrary.
