Wouldnt it be neat if they added a special unlockable battle mode on there like on Star Ocean 3, when you find that game table. That'd be so awesome and maybe as you characters level up you could unlock more things or moves or areas to battle in. that sounds like a sweet addon to me.multi-player fun factor, yeah!

From the preview, it seems to be a manga adaptation of the storyline of the original games. Supposedly, it's doing this in such a way that it's more than just the games in manga form, but how has not yet been revealed.

That's Good info that they put up but yeah I kind of think Haseo well be some what an Hero for all 3 games. as I remeber they sad it wasn't going to be linked like the other 4 Vol. .Hack games but it looks like it well be but lets hope it's good as they say it is.

TriEdge does seem to take the position of Aura.Overall,I really love the cover.

I have not seen this picture before. Tri-edge in chains(or broken chains). Well when I think of chains the first thing that comes to mind is Aura. Not sure I can make a connection here. Aura absorbed the data Kite collected, the fire incedent at cc corp which damaged alot of the world's servers... This could be a vagrant AI of Kite's character data. What were lacking is real motive for Tri-edge. You think Ressurection might be referring to Kite? No.. Aura? No she's too happy. Morganna... Not sure why but I have an idea or two... we see phase programs.. ugh... oh well...

They showed a trailer at the press conference, with special emphasis on the facial expressions. If I'm not mistaken from the screenshots it looks like a new one...

As far as motive goes:
When "it" was born
The first thing it saw was a "PK"
Guess we're not sure Triedge is 'it' though. The 'it' born in CELL is female, but I don't think we know whether or not it's the same 'it' they're talking about in G.U.+ and the E3 trailer...

I think chances are, if they're making a plot device out of 'it', then it might very well be feminine. Now do you think 'it' is AIDA(tri-edge) or someone else entirely? The more I think about that, the more I find myself wanting to believe 'it' and Tri-edge are two different entities. Merely speculation on my part though.

I would hope the trailer from the conference would be released to the general public sometime before Ressurection is ships to retailers.

in regards to the chains around triedge and his position where aura used to be, doent it remind you of the statue in Hidden Forbidden Holyground in the games? Maybe there is some significance between that statue of aura which has disappeared again and tri-edge.Maybe tri-edge was made as a backup protection program after Kite left the game, since aura was able to make PCs for rena and shugo. Maybe it was put awayuntil something bad happened, then the fire came, weakening the holding place where tri-edge awaited awakening as well as had his data damaged to a minor extent, but enough to corrupt his programing. Thus leaving a renegade program running loose in the game after getting spliced with the new game R2. Since all data spliced into R2 was updated and reconfigured for use in the new game, then Tri-edge would have been upgraded for use in R2 w/o notice. Just one of those files that slipped by under CC Corp's nose.


I just made all that crap up from looking at that cool box. dothack sure makes you think, huh.
Note to anyone who takes that as me speculating-I was just screwing around w/ that idea. I wasnt really serious about it, plus we've already debated about most of that stuff anyways. Its fun to make stuff up though based on objectifying a relationship between things.

I so hope that that is the box 4reel and I hope they dont change the box for american release, cuz they do that w/ games sometimes, althought not w/ the .hack games yet.

Yeah, usually when they change game covers for the American release they make them "busier". For all the games after Infection, that would be kinda hard... ^^;

Maybe the chains represent that Tri-edge actually is Kite, and he's trapped deep inside somewhere... Well, just idle speculation... We won't know until the games...

This does seem to be a new trailer, not only have we never seen this image before, but we have never seen Haseo appear like that before.

Just look at his tattoos, under the eyes. Though they aren't the crescent marks of his armoured form, they aren't the lightning bolts he normally has either.

This trailer should appear somewhere at some point, I just hope it happens soon.

Indeed, but if it is his second form, I'm surprised that we haven't seen this image as of yet.

However, I must agree with you, it does seem to be his second form. But this Trailer is so tantalising! So many images for us to tear apart and add to our theories.

As Bear would say, these images would present more dots to connect with lines and create the bigger picture...or some such thing.
