Speaking of purpose, this thread has served it's purpose.
read AI buster because it shows how aura was created
No it doesn't. It shows why Lycoris was born, but not how Aura was born.
it shows that Lycoris was stabed then turned white just as aura. see the similarity

Ok, first off, you somehow got it into your head that Lycoris turned into Aura? WRONG! Aura has been asleep since the World was booted up. Lycoris has a fragment of herself in the Wotan Spear, a part of her in some field as backround imagery, and the rest of her became a Wandering AI in Net Slum. All the while, the whole, complete Aura is sleeping.

As for turning white, WTF are you talking about? She doesn't turn white, the picture is just black and white. If Lycoris was changing color, it would've been mentioned in the text.

nope, remember? in the beginning of .hack//INFECTION, Kite could see the statue before the bracelet was installed, and Blackrose could see it too.

wasn't Aura born at the end of .hack//SIGN? So, for the rest of the .hack// sagas, she's seeking to improve herself, like any sentient being unless in she has to be reborn or something, but i haven't played Outbreak or mutation yet so i dunno yet if she has to be reborn or just revived

Aura awakened after SIGN, but her programming was incomplete. Thusly, it was only until after QUARANTINE, where she completes herself, that she is referred to as "being born."

well, i have beaten the game, and the Aura statue is still there.
Yeah I too beat the game and it is still there. I was wandering why some says it dissapear it never did even if I beat the game.

It doesn't dissapear during the games, but it's apparently gone during Udeden, as it's not on the altar when the Cathedral is visited.

The Aura statue is also not in .hack//Sign. The base of it is but not her.

of course. Because Aura is asleep. when Aura wakes up and evolves into her next form, causing the Epitaph Program to activate, the statue appears. After the Epitaph Program, Aura is complete and goes dormant, but the statue remains. Probably because until Aura re-awakens into her new role, the statue is still considered accurate in it's symbolism. Either that, or it's cached until the next server update.

Very interesting indeed. BTW, I'm surprised that no one has said anything about the fact that 3 of the 8 phases names are on the statue with Aura. Anyones thoughts on why only 3 names are readable?

Because "Skeith... Innis... Magus... the rest is faded" sounds cooler than "Skeith, Innis, Magus, Fidchell, Gorre, Macha, Tarvos, Corbenik..." :P

It only shows the first 3 names because, like from the epitaph:

and by the power of magus, a drop of the wave doth reach the heavens, and creates a new wave.

It could just be saying, after magus is done for, the rest of the wave is finally recognizable.

Do you think it just a warning. Plus Wisemen made a couple of comments about your encounters with them after you get a copy of the "Epitach of Twilight".

Alright, an incredibly old subject, and I'm not sure if I said this before... (maybe a dozen times, knowing my memory.)

I found somewhere that the purpose of the statue was a "testament to Morganna's ego" simply, "You have not won yet! Not as long as I'm still around! Where ever you go, I will hunt you!" Something like that, according to someone on an incredibly old board, this was said in the first "The World" magazine.

Isn't it only able to be seen by those connected to Aura? Symbloizing that she is bound by the phases and Morganna? Hey, maybe there aren't chains on her after you beat the game... or maybe the statue isn't there! Ok i can't check this now, and never have, but can someone who has beaten it go to Hidden Forbidden Holy ground for me a check if theres anything different.

And yeah, the reflection is just cause she's not rly there, so I've heard...

(sorry if anything has already been said, don't wanna read...)

Haha, no i's surely there after you beat the games.

The statue is there for everyone, and the chains remain. But since it wasn't originally part of the area, it doesn't show up in the reflection.
