Agreed... I believe that they became greater friends... Subaru, helped Tsukasa be being a friend. And as you know when he was in the world he had few outside memories of the world outside, and he didn't know he was a she at the time... So it's not really anything to worry much about.

Subaru herself told Tsukasa that she was attracted to his/her spirit, and that his gender, age, etc. didn't matter to her. Sex is the last thing in their minds. It's more like the bond of Ico and Yorda from ICO. Completely unsexual, but powerful in such a way as to be impossible for the human mind to ration and comprehend.

Reviving a dead topic here but that sign on top of subaru's head-if you look closely at it, you can almost say it is a wheelchair. i don't know, it might just be me but that's what i think.

it does at time's but only a little bit, like the curve being further away than it was the last time you saw her. it's subtle but noticeable
it still resembles the basic shape of a wheelchair.

if you just watch the episode where she first appears, and then watch the around ep- 19-20-21 or something and you'll see it's a huge difference
becuase it changes bit by bit, and eventually, it's nothing like the first time

No Not really I think Subaru's name is kind of nice but if she was name Saturn it would not matter don't get me wrong about this Subaru is an Car name yes I have nothing Ageist anyone being name after and car. but yeah this is my info on this Topic.

Actually, both the player and the car company took the name from the same source. "Subaru" is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster.

she also doesn't make much sense. in the ep where she meet's the fake subaru( she say's her name but i completly forgot) and get's owned. when she meet's tsukassa she say's that she was the one who was waiting.
that just went right over my head.

now im not a huge .hack sign fan, ive only seen like 4 episodes, but i did see one where it showed subaru (in rl) crying and u saw tear drops on her keyboard, but as you saw that part, she was ina wheelchair.
