So, i can't say i've been truly following Mexico's soccer team (just as i've been following the whole olympics in general, really), but i watched some of the game today and it was actually pretty great. And i must say, congratulations Mexico, you're going to get your first medal in soccer ever, PERHAPS even a Gold one ;P Sure, there's no Germany or Guardiola's Spain in here, but a worldwide competition is still a worldwide competition, and an olympic medal is immensely difficult to obtain no matter what.
And though i haven't been following the games much, i sure had fun lulzing about this game. It was Mexico vs Japan, so there was alot of image sharing regarding our popular culture vs their popular culture...you know, Goku, Pikachu, Tsubasa, etc. It has been perhaps the most entertaining moment i've had during the olympics. lol

And now i'm just getting to see everyone going crazy about it >3>; Well, this is entertaining and happens during every World Cup anyways. And in no way i can complain about Mexico being "hypocrite" or not ever being interested in soccer or anything like that XD lol

...It was emotional, at least for me o,3o
And just like the opening, i really enjoyed the closure. With all the tributes and referrences to modern pop culture and all.

In fact both the opening and closure were like a freaking rock festival or something.
And i loved that. lol

Now to wait 4 years and see how Brazil will amuse us, i guess >3>

Alongside at least 20 different kinds of meme pics regarding the victory.
My Facebook feed thingy EXPLODED with them that day.
Especially since mexicans LOVE to steal memes and use them for all kinds of personal reasons.
Which personally pisses the fu­ck out of me and i fuc­king hate it in so many f­ucking ways.
