"Introductions still seem in order." He said with a sigh. Kale bowed to the Knight. "Good day to you. I am Kale Roseless proprietor of Fall's Rose herbs and flowers. If it grows from the earth, we have it or can get it. How can I be of service to you today my good lord? My selection is somewhat limited due to not being at my shop proper, but I have plenty enough." He opened a pouch brimming with leaves as if to prove it. "Also, those two are Nightshade and Dandelion, near as I can tell."

When Chuck volunteered, Kale looked over at the destruction the boy had caused earlier. "Chuck, why do you want a contract with her? You're obviously extremely powerful already. This knight here might be a good choice to keep things balanced, if he joins up that is. And I would love to laud myself as a candidate, but I'm not really the fighting sort. That and having to explain why such a lovely woman, even if she is dead, is bound to me when I get back, if I get back, would be more than a little troublesome."

Chuck turned to kale ''My parents....... they're dead, they died when i was 4..... my cousin and i trained with my uncle....''

"I am aware of the sob story Chuck. As you said, you've bought flowers at my shop religiously. But that doesn't answer the question." He shrugged, dismissing Chuck's argument.

I would welcome you Alexis as your traveling partner and if this Vanguard demon stands in my way to the throne. I'll hack him to pieces. Are there any strings attached to this contract? Besides Vanguard, there must be other desires and goals that you want completed?

Bio: George "Cyclops" Puttenham is a mediocre hunter who has been searching for a hunt so grand that it may make him famous. His alias, "Cyclops" is due to the eye-patch covering his left eye. George has perfect vision in both eyes, but chooses to cover his left eye so that he may increase his aim. Not much is known about his family, or his past. Most of his money, however, is spent on food and drink.
Goal: George has been requested by the grandson of a former knight of Boletaria to capture the body of a Phantom who has regained their body, in hopes of finding the Phantom of his grandfather, and perhaps reviving him.
Appearance: George is a man of above average height, towering over many at almost six feet. George has long red hair that reaches just below his shoulders, which he ties in a ponytail with a black strip of leather. George wears a black eye-patch just over his eye when not on a job, and covers his left eye when on a job. George wears an umber brown cloak, and a discarded white shirt underneath it. He also wears discarded pants and shoes. Though his appearance is of a peasant, he has a comprehension of reading, and arithmetic.

"Evading the question again. Fine. Whatever. Just don't let your emotions get me killed." Kale began looking around more ernestly, he wasn't sure how long it would take those soulless freaks to finish up the soldiers, but he wanted to press on before they showed back up. Even if the group he was now with was strong enough to deal with even a powerful demon, like Vanguard, fighting even things that were little more than mindless zombies was an unnecessary risk. "We should keep moving. Nightshade, which way is this Alfred of yours?"

"he is in the boletarian palace along with the mausoleum you seek, as for the wizard in the tower... I think you mean the great sage freke, he was once my tutor but came here thinking he could take on the demon's, I also wanted to find him but I died before I could find out where this tower is, and as for my contract, the only catch is this: you must be alive, if you die then we'll both be dead, my goals are simply to regain my body ,save boletaria and find two people important to me: my tutor sage freke and my cousin ariona for he is next in line to the throne so I must save him, and I am not interested with forming a contract with the magician for he might turn me into a spell, now let us make haste before something worst than demon's come here.... For you see not all phantoms are like me, when they die just like me, they refuse to accept their death and as a result they lose all reason and start craving for souls, we cant win against one head on, but if any of you see one: run".

With those words the group moved on to the palace, oblivious to the fact that they were being watched, a tall figure clad in black armor stood next to a masked woman and behind her stood soldiers all donned in black fluted armor, "I knew the thief couldnt be trusted" the masked woman muttered, "they were wrong to think so, and to make matters worst they've come in contact with the girl, if they learn about us or the soul arts then could be a threat to our plans, the master wants you and your men to kill them.", the tall figure simply replied "understood", and with a gesture of his hand his men have begun to mobilize, these men were all living and sane, which just made them more dangerous.

Kale's ears felt hot. Is someone talking about me behind my back again? I'm sure it's just October, planning my funeral...with a closed casket...since there won't be a body. If only I wasn't such an honorable guy, I could say screw it and go home. While I still have my life and limbs. But no, I have to go and stand by my word. He started to get the feeling that he was being watched, but a shake of the head and a rub of the neck and he calmed himself. Of course something's watching me. Everything here wants me dead or worse. This feeling's not going away anytime soon. Let's just hurry up and get this job over with. He pulled his duster a bit tighter as if to ward away a chill. A lot of good going to the mausoleum will be if I don't have the key yet. Oh well, one problem at a time. Maybe I can just pick the lock.

"well here we are friends" replied alexis as she pointed to the large gate, "we should proba-" then a voice cried out "HELP! FOR ALL THAT IS SACRED HELP!" before any of her human companions could react alexis bolted to the scene and found an armor clad young knight surrounded by the soulless, instead of drawing her sword she stood there muttering under her breath then all of a sudden a bright light burst forth from her palm immediately killing the soulless and rescuing the young man "thank you I would've been killed if it werent for you, you have my thanks, please accept this its an old family heirloom but its all I could spare for I must flee to the nexus for refuge" with that he ran away, alexis looked at the object: it was a key, but a key to what? She looked closer and then realized that it had the royal insignia she then wondered as to who was that young man, "I believe you're looking for this?" she told the thief and produced a key.

as they were sleeping to rest their bodies, alexis stood in the moonlight looking up at the moon, she thought "ariona where are you?" she and her cousin the prince used to watch the moon and stars late at night with their tutor the great sage freke, but now those days were gone, and all she could hope for was that her sanity remains with her long enough to see a free boletaria...

In the night, Chuck wake up and saw Alexis watching the stars, He Wrote a letter and leave it at Kale's side ''I have to continue, but i see you see me as a dangerous boy, im going to the top of the tower'' the letter said, As chuck continues his walk and tresspases alexis's body, then walks to what it can be seen as a tower ''I have to go up there'' He walked, and like in 1 Mile he fell into the ground unconcious

"Uh, thanks." Kale said, he gripped the key for a moment and then slid it into a pouch. "So that was Ostrava. Younger than I expected. Which reminds me. What the devil is your name, Nightshade? I realize I keep calling you that, but you haven't given me anything else to work with."

Later that night, Kale was a light sleeper, more so what with being in Boletaria, so he heard Chuck's movements. When he knew the boy had turned his back to leave he turned his head to watch until he was out of sight. At which point he pulled on his thieving outfit, checking all of his pouches to make sure he had everything important, and shook Alexis. "Chuck's run off." He took a deep breath and continued speaking in hushed tones. "And against my better judgment, I'm going after him. He left this note, and he went in the direction of that blasted tower. If we're not back by morning...I'll see you at the mausoleum if nothing else, so please bring my bag and duster with you." He pulled his hood and scarf up as he turned and began walking briskly after Chuck, being careful to make no noise and leave as little tracks of his own as possible.

Upon finding Chuck he pulled off his gloves and gently felt for any obvious wounds, finding none he rolled the kid onto his back to make his sleep less uncomfortable. Kale found a nice rock a short distance away and crouched on it. He did a quick scan of the area and went to sleep like that. It was anything but comfortable, but he would get some sleep and he had slept in less comfortable places and ways. Once you master sleeping on rough cobblestones anything else was like a cloud. Plus it kept him a little more alert than lying on the ground and made things think twice before attacking.

George checked his quiver, which only have about 20 arrows left in it. He could not possibly afford anymore arrows nor could afford anything to fill his empty stomach. Food was his motivation for this mission, and with that as his drive, he would surely find a reborn Phantom, or at least, he assumed he would. He left his city for Boletaria with nothing but his bow and quiver, and the clothes on his back. "Here's to the hunt." He said a small prayer before covering his left eye with his eye patch, and continuing on his journey.

Chuck was feeling kale's arms, tough he was unconcious, but he felt anyways, he was saying while sleeping ''n-no....i...got to....no...you...i won't let you......Father..you...'' he stopped talking

His eyes were hidden behind his dark helmet but his subordinates knew that he was displeased, "oy" asked one soldier "what do you lot think he's so upset about? its not like we cant take on demons nor soulless" another soldier replied, "maybe its the fact that the girl performed soul arts without a hassle, or that those travelers have her protection", another asked "if she was so powerful then why was she killed?", "beats me but I'm pretty sure she died on purpose" with that they continued to trudge on while their leader thinking to himself, "how much do they truly know the girl....."

"my name is alexis sterling of the royal house of sterling, I was once a knight in life until I died, and furthermore I am not a nightshade, I am a phantom, a human who has retained the same traits even in the afterlife yet cant move on, a nightshade is simply a shapeless ghastly apparition that has no form, on the other hand there are phantoms who go rogue due to refusing to believe they are dead or have developed an appetite for souls, I simply call them black phantoms due to their black and red aura".

"A pleasure, Alexis. An excellent name for a knight. One who defends others. Also, nightshade is the name of a plant." Finally having a name for her Kale felt much better about being around this ghost or phantom or whatever she was.

Back to current events. Hours passed and Kale awoke while it was still dark, judging by how cold he felt it should be nearing dawn. He stood and stretched, he wasn't fully rested, but he didn't want to stay here any longer. He checked his belongings, everything was in it's proper place. Well, that's one good thing. Why did I follow him again? Oh yeah, because I'm an idiot. He pulled his hood and scarf down so as not to get killed for waking the kid up and picked Chuck's weapon up before he knelt next to the boy and shook him. "Chuck, wake up. We should get moving." He placed the weapon in Chuck's hands and put his hood and scarf back in their proper places.
