"Still as silent as a winters night I see. Why not stay and join us for tea and crumpets?"
"Hahaha, I jest. On another note, before you take your leave, what do you have planned for Inoten?"

Exia:Inoten is no more, the armies marched upon it killing everyone, then planted salt in our feilds so that they would never yeild crops once more....

[the burst opened revealing a blood soaked Dennis]

Dennis:Sir! the army is upon us once again! they are outside as we-[he collapsed on the floor revealing several arrows in his back]

Exia:Merc! Jak! Dante! go get out of here! they are here for me, we will meet in the kingdom!

All:Sir!

[for the first time six months Exia drew his blade. And balanced it in his left hand]

"Well this is turning out to be an interesting affair"
Dart draws his broad sword from below the table
"I cannot summon my dragons within these walls, looks like we'll have to cleave a way through."
He engulfs a line of soldiers upon their entrance in a blazing ball of light.
"Agreed Exia? Will you accept my help? If not, think of it as helping me."

Exia: you do know that this is the third floor and the only way out is down. so naturally the spiral staircases give us the advantage, by forcing the enemy to use their weak arm. but no. no. you keep on cleaving. im goin downstairs

"Naturally for you, you would believe the only way out, is down, with me, we have two options; down, or up"
"When we manage to reach the top, I am able to summon my dragons, we may take flight and rain destruction upon our unsuspecting foes."

"I'd prefer not to go alone, I grow tired of this life, the life of the shade. Never do I interact with the light of life, I tend off to the shadows of the dead."
"So, your decision, trust me to have your back, I'll still any blade that comes near, I'll give unto these so-called soldiers the divine justice of the light!"
"Manjo!"
A blinding spherical light arose from Darts gladius, it moved to the center of the room. From here it split in two, each ball of light enlarged gathering heat, you could feel the atmosphere growing hotter, more tense.
"Jomango!"
The balls of light entered the body of the first feeble souls who entered the room, it engulfed their body in white flames. The attack was not finished though, it used the bodies of those who were engulfed, as sacrifices, they exploded with bursts of magic incinerating all who stood nearby.

Dart bows at Exia
"After you, dear Exia."

Exia: [He brushed his hair out of his face] do what you must, each persons life is their own storybook. besides. i don't induct members i don't fully trust. after all you were the only armed person in this room.

[he rushed through the hallway to the stairs his sword still in his left hand waiting to strike]

*You remember the promise right?*

*Of course...but...i can't be king...its not possible*

*it's only impossible if nobody tries.*

[he was on the second floor surrounded on all sides, his back to the wall]

*The King will always find a way.*

[He spun and dove straight for the window...]

Exia: I can't break my promise here!

[he crashed into a carriage that happened to be passing through the forest in secrecy, the horses were startled they took off running into the night]

"Hehehe, kid will never change, ah well... Here we go!"
Dart runs through the back door, up the stairwell to the highest floor.

"Mien! I call to you"
Mien screeched as he busted through the the ceiling.
"Come, I have the information I seek, We are off to Welgia."

"Good luck Exia, may our paths cross again."

While traveling to Welgia, Dart spots a branch of High Knights, attacking Nano's Pub In Ziekden , being an elf, he's disposition to the human race, is altered, in ties with them attacking his favored pub, he feels the need for a slight detour, besides, telling Miomnos, of his new information courtesy of the High Council of Aeducan.

Mien swoops in breathing fire upon the High Knights, Dart jumps down, landing on the commander.
"Why do you defile the sanctity of my dear pub?"
Commander "Just looking for a bit of fun, I have nothing to say to you, elven scum."
"Then I have no further point in pursuing this conversation"
Dart draws gladius out, dancing it playfully in his hand.
With precision, his blade grazes the throat of the commander, just deep enough he would choke on his blood.
"Mien, circle the area, set up a perimeter, I'm heading in to search for our friend."

Name- Derrick Stormfall
Race- Human
Class/Alignment- Paladin of Iomedae
Description- Derrick has deep brown hair that comes down just below his shoulders and a beard that rivals most dwarves. He's about average height and has golden eyes. He wears a suit of dull gray damascus steel plate forged by dwarven hands. He carries a tower shield known as Rho Aias emblazoned on the front is a longsword giving off sunrays from the cross guard. Sheathed on the back of Rho Aias is his longsword known as Aegle. The sword supposedly shines when it is held before great evil.

Bio- Derrick was sold into bondage at a young age. He traded hands several times until he ended up the servant of a dwarven gold lender. One night he received a message from who would become his deity. She told him that if he only waited five minutes before getting going in the morning his master would be dead and he would be free. He instead awoke immediately and went straight to his master's side and remained awake the entire night. In the morning a priest of Iomedae came by with a letter of requisition. The dwarf had no choice but to let Derrick go. The "warning" had been a test of his values.

Thankful for freeing him from a life of servitude to other people Derrick devoted himself to serving his newfound goddess. His life up to that point, in particular working for dwarves, had forged a sturdy body and he used it to bring light to the dark places of the world. Given his background Derrick was often sent to aid or otherwise deal with the dwarves and is friendly with many of them.

Aegle was given to him by the head of his order upon his initiation into the ranks of paladins and he claimed Rho Aias from a powerful fiendish beast. In the process Derrick lost his apprentice, Fitch. He has never forgiven himself for failing to protect his charge and has refused to take another under his wing though he will through himself in the path of danger if it will save even one innocent life.

Additional Details- The strength of his faith has granted him some extraordinary powers. He can do some minor mending of wounds, just enough to give one who has suffered an otherwise mortal wound a chance at survival. He can inspire even a cowardly thief to stand and fight though he may be outnumbered 3 to 1. His own courage cannot waver whatever his foe may be. He automatically draws the attention of anything particularly evil or demonic in the area, giving it a powerful urge to try and slay him, none have yet succeeded perhaps thanks to the final power granted by his faith. His abilities are augmented when faced with a deeply evil foe. This doesn't go so far as to make it so that he can fight on par with a general of hell, but it helps even the field a bit. I'll leave it up to your discretion as to when he feels these bursts of power. Unrelated to his faith is the power granted by Rho Aias. The shield can project a magic circle that can block almost any attack, however Derrick must concentrate to maintain it and even doing something like swinging his longsword at an orc could cause him to lose concentration and cause the circle to fail, thus it's primary use is against something akin to a dragon's fire breath but it could also be used to effectively seal off a passageway for a time.

Iomedae's tenets, which he must uphold to maintain her favor, are honor, justice, valor, and law. Thus he cannot lie nor do anything else that would be considered dishonorable. And as such, so long as they have a rightful claim to the throne he cannot directly act against someone vying for the position. But if they are dishonorable, he will not aid them in obtaining it, thus he does not wish for the Elf, Fargo Her, to take the throne. The Jel'kao threaten the laws of the land with their unruliness and thus he does not wish for the Orc leader, Geld, to take the throne. Thus of the three primary candidates up for the position, he supports the Duke of North Shire the most, for now.

((I'll post my first action when I have a better idea as to what's going on and where. Or when Derrick gets placed somewhere by someone.))

Derrick had been riding slowly up the path, he was curious as to why a dragon was flying so near settlements, but it seemed to be leaving them alone for now. And then he saw the beast swoop in low and he pushed his horse into a gallop. When he saw smoke, he pushed the horse even harder. He was somewhat afraid that the old mount would collapse under the exertion, but he couldn't spare a moment if the beast had begun attacking people. As the settlement came into view, so too did the dragon. The beast landed directly in his path and roared. His mount reared back and tried to run, but a staying pat from Derrick and it's courage was restored. The horse plodded forward at a leisurely pace. Derrick held his shield at the ready, the dragon had not yet attacked him, but that did not mean it wouldn't. A glance behind the dragon and he saw a half destroyed pub and several High Knights gathering themselves. Perhaps he had just become too accustomed to dwarves, but something seemed not right about the knights. Of course, he should probably focus on the matter at hand first. "Leave now, dragon! I do not wish to do combat this day. But continue tormenting these people, and I shall face you." The dragon roared and Derrick roared back as his mount charged. If it would not leave, then he would make it leave.
