Hmm...this turned out better than I expected he grinned.
He held up the funny device in his hand. Rains blaid turned back into a chain and Tilby's gantlets went out.
"Now now you two" he grinned."This lesson is about not useing magic. You can't always depend on it and when you way over your head use this niffty little device to nutralize there powers"

Velia finally realised that attempting to run another sixty three miles without stopping would prove impossible for her already tired body and ceased. She bent over, her bag falling to the side with a heavy weight running parallel to the intensity of Velia's breath. A pale steam became visible to her eyes as they slowly opened. Snow had begun falling around an hour ago. With the addition of the weather and weight of the book, Velia felt that lodging would be an important thing to find and proceeded to head toward a near by building that appeared abandoned. She pulled a tool from her bag to wrench off some nailed down wooden boards and managed to crawl in through what must once have been a window. The new surroundings were cramped and dim, though a light post from the street provided some light through Velia's entrance.

"Perfect for getting a start on reading," She said and, with only hesitating in order to sit and replace her tool with the elemental book, commenced a long read. Hours passed as she flicked over the large, faded pages. Information ranged from chi and life force combined with the science of biology and anthropology to witch craft, gnomes and sylphs. Finally Velia reached the pages that explained harnessing the powers. The worn pages read, "Each elemental belongs to a family, the Gnomes of the Earth, the Sylphs of the Air, the Undines of the Water and the Salamanders of the Fire." In a side note the author or a later owner had written after publication in a separate ink was, "harnessing chi in spirits may prove to be elementalism too." Velia hunched over at this and ceased reading for a moment as memories flooded in to her head. They were quickly dismissed and she continued the reading.

"Discovering an elemental's family is based on either parents or trial and error. After that, visualization is the key to unlocking the path of chi and making connections with the chi in the desired element..." the parchment continued on with simple methods of practicing. Velia was rather sure that her parents were Undines, and so she wiped the cold sweat from her brow and concentrated on centering the droplets to her palm, a suggested practice for Undines. At first, no results presented themselves, however, when she began to visualise strings in the centre of her palm attaching themselves to droplets and pulling them in, the liquid began moving, slowly but surely. Velia grinned. "I knew I could do it. I knew it!"

She breathed out, replaced the book in her bag and hoped out of her entrance. Not far up the road was a bus picking up passengers. Despite having no money, Velia managed to hitch a subtle ride by swiftly climbing up to the bus's roof.

"Not long until I will reach the school this way."

((I always knew my grammar wasn't the best, but to say I don't know proper grammar, that’s a little harsh. I guess I was wrong, unless you're talking about Filby's speech, but angry people don't really care about grammar. =D
And no, Helba keeps her grammar in check too.))

Filby looked at Mr. Tiberius, trying to calm down his breathing. "I can still rip the kid apart, without magic." He knelt down as the scars on his back glowed. He wings retreated back into his body without much struggle or effort and Filby looked back to Ark, "So sit in your seat, human." He wasn't glaring, but his voice showed scorn. He turned back to Tiberius. "And what is a lesson in magic without using magic? Or was the lesson just your ability to turn off magic, because I don't like being used as a puppet." His eyes narrowed, "Not even vampires stand a chance against Angels." Filby returned to his seat with that.

Rain: { the runic markings fade from him gloves}... uhhhhh sensei....my sword isn't using magic well kinda... but I see your point { he hooks the chain back on his pants} so wheres my seat?....ohh you think u can still rip me apart without magic you must be one powerful angel { its almost as if he's mocking filby and not waiting for a response he just sits down in a window seat}

Velia leapt from the bus into thick grass, although not thick enough to completely snuff out the pain. "Ow, ah!" she said as her body rolled. Eventually Velia came to halt, stood, and brushed grass from her coat. Her eyes trailed up. Rays from the sun now flowed over the mountain's edge.

"I might even make it to the academy for first period," She said with a grin. As Velia walked, she read the book on elementalism, "I've wasted too much time already. I can't stick to that first practice." Her eyes skimmed the pages for what felt like minutes, but as her face collided with the bricks of Goitue academy and the sun had risen to a position near the cwentre of the sky, Velia noticed the hours that had passed. "Crap!" She replaced the book in her bag and sped through the nearest door. As she ran past one door a voice came out saying, "...was the lesson just your ability to turn off magic..."

It really is a school for powers. Velia stuck her head in and searched for the more mature looking face. "Hey I ca-" she had stop to breathe. Her hands were holding her up using the door frame. "Phew. I got a letter, I was wondering where I register and how much it costs?"

Her eyes scanned the room quickly. Considering her name, this was an odd action for her; bursting into a room, panting and asking questions, drawing attention. "Uh..."

He just looked at her for a few minutes.
"Ah yes, you must be Velia the new student. I have been expecting you" her motioned towards one of the desks.
"Just take a seat over there"
He set the device back down on the desk.

Velia took a couple more deep breaths and moved to her assigned seat. How did he know my name? More so, how did the academy know my real name AND where I was to deliver that letter? When I think about it, the more this place seems odd. Like that guy, Velia's eyes flicked over to Filby then back to her desk, he has metal arms! What the hell? I suppose it is a school for less usual people, so it would make sense that the academy could know things normal people could not find out. Still weird though.

Velia placed her bag on her lap and waited to see how the class played out.

Rain: { he glances over to veila but then he just closes his eyes and sits back in his chair} * wow an elemental so sylph was talking about this girl huh?...which reminds me I wonder what happened to them all I havent been able to contact anyone accept sylph for 6 months* { he looks over to Ark} hey Ark can you share your notes with me?

"Use your own notes Mr. Rain" he said sighing. He walked back behind his desk and sat down in his seat. He put his legs up on the desk and leaned back in the chair.

Filby looked at the new student, "All these humans are always late..." He glared at her when she looked at his arms, but remained quiet. Filby already had his notes out on his desk, so while everyone was getting them out, he just watched everyone. Filby whispered under his breath, "Stupid human...can't even write down notes..." He leaned back and closed his eyes, his hands readied themselves and one of the fingers straightened and the tip became a pen. His hands flipped through his notebook and Filby himself began to doze off quietly.

Rain:.. *god I hate writing* { he takes out his notebook and he picks up a pen but he then gets distracted by the view from the window}....* I have to draw this* { he begins drawing the scenary and it comes out almost as amazing as it is from first glance} * ahhh drawing is much better then writing* { he listens to the teachers lecture as he continues drawing} wait outside? { he grabs his stuff as he stands up and walks outside}

Notes? Who the hell has notes on the first day of school? Velia thought, but began to feel like more of an outcast as the other students proceeded to pull out books and pens.

Jeeze. This really is a school. I already feel ostracized. But I suppose that's a good thing for me. She began scanning about for a pen and some spare paper. Fortunately someone had left a black ink pen in the desk she sat at.

"Everybody follow me outside," the teacher called out. Velia flinched, but caught up with the situation, grabbed the pen and stood to follow the other's out the door. The elemental book will have to do as paper. Some side notes won't hurt it. I just hope no one is a big fan of nearby town's museums. On the way to the door Velia's eye caught sight of a student scribbling on a piece of paper frantically. The early light shining through the window made his face difficult to see, but as she passed him and saw the canvas developing into a basic landscape, then well drawn scenery and, in only a few moments, a masterpiece with details matching the quality of a digital camera, it became apparent that this boy held not only some unnatural power, but a natural talent that would be praised by any person. However, Velia felt silly gawking at the work even though only for a couple of moments. She snapped back into avoid-attention-mode and continued walking out the door, one arm holding the strap around her shoulder from the bag.

Ark:*this class will be interesting....and why is Rain here? why does he look like me? or do i look like him? i've wondered this ever since i can remember...im older but he still calls me his little brother because hes an inch taller....but...we both spent the same time in the womb....is it one of those things that cannot be solved?*

Filby's hand gently tapped his face, the could fingers were all he needed to wake up. As he stood, he stretched and began walking, his arms closed his notebook and soon followed, hovering nearby. He had been the last to leave the classroom, and closed the door. "You don't even know what this class is about?! You ignorant little human! This is why human's are..." Filby grumbled loudly and walked faster, walking alone. He looked inside other class rooms, and noticed a lack of angels. With one of his hands he reached out and touched the wall, his fingers gliding over it smoothly. He turned his head to glance at Ark and Rain, but he quickly turned his head back, disgusted.

That guy seems super angry all the time, Velia thought as she walked down the hall behind her new teacher. The elemental book was open in her hands, turned to a page that explained a defensive method of elemental power. "So the trick is to pull your attacker's energy out towards yours and when they clash... Interesting," She mumbled while gliding along the wooden floor boards. "I bet this will be helpful... How do I practice?" Sure enough, Velia found practice instructions further down the page. She returned the book to her bag and placed her palms out and parallel with a small gap. At first she couldn't draw anything out, but soon enough a faint light began flowing out through the pours of her palms. Velia stopped in her tracks.

"Woah..." Her eyes became mystified. She started to move the light around, then turned with it. But as she turned, the metal armed angel was in front of her. "Oh, CRA-" Velia, having already began the process, uncontrollably began drawing Filby's energy out. Faster than Velia could blink once, their energy collided and they were both blown twenty feet in opposite directions. Velia slammed onto the ground and skidded past the teacher. "Ah!" She eventually came to a halt, "What kind of defensive method hurts the user?!" She hissed under her breath.

He turned his head over a little to make sure the class was following when he saw what Velia had done. He chose just ecnore it and keep going. He quickly slipped on a long cape with a hood on. He pulled the hood over his head, making sure that no day light hit him. It was dawn now. The class had taken a little longer than he expected.

((Me and Veila are on the floor in the hallway))

Filby noticed himself being leeched on, but by the time he turned around, all he saw was light. Filby couldn't even scream as he slid past the twins. He stood up and shouted, "THE ONE THAT DIDN'T KILL ME!" His wings spread and he chanted his mysterious language again, as his arms were set ablaze. He held his head tight, "DAMN HUMANS!" He charged at Veila, but was quickly subdued by his classmates, recognizing the hostility in his eyes. His arms, however, flung themselves at Veila, pinned her arms down to the ground, and burning her arms.

"Let go of me! I'll end this quick! She's a new student, no one even knows her!" His one of his wings were accidentally stepped on and his arms gripped Veila's arms tighter, "GET OFF ME! I CAN STILL KILL HER FROM HERE!"
