If you strictly include only actual players of the original Kite and Blackrose PCs, then you probably get 2 and 2 (maybe 3 with Sora), and Sakuya probably isn't one of them...

I guess I'll find out when the time comes, but at this point I think they're just overusing the .hack name.

I don't think you can really call it "overusing" when this is the sparsest .hack season ever, and also the end. They only have two stories left they can tell, and this is one they chose. It's by Tatsuya Hamasaki, for crying out loud. At this point we don't even know why it's called "quantum". I imagine it's more than a dumbass 80s buzzword, it probably pertains more to the actual meaning of the word, as in a discrete unit. I mean, they had a show called "liminality", the titles are pretty sophisticated. And this all makes a good deal of sense in the context of what's going on. It's not like there's been a "mass masquerade" before...

I'm really skeptical about this, have been from the start... I guess that's why I don't really like everyone worshiping it. But that's me...

Well I doubt it'll be the best .hack anime ever, but I'm pretty excited on account of how high-quality the animation is. It looks like it might actually be exciting, and have action. Which by .hack anime standards is kinda new.

It'll have to really, really prove itself to me if I'm to like it. After the disaster that was the LINK manga, I'm not sure I have much more faith left in this series...

They said .hack is ending, or at least the games from the look of it right now. I feel this shall be everlasting.

Just because the manga's weird doesn't mean the rest of the generation is. It's like condemning the first generation for the Udeden anime...

This isn't a rumor. .hack is ending. They're never said this before, and they'll never say it again. I don't know how much more clearly we could possibly explain this. .hack. Ending. End of story.

I still stand by my opinion that Legend of the Twilight had its strong points compared to the LINK manga. And that everything this generation other than the LINK game has been pretty mediocre at best.

But... eh. This anime has yet to prove itself, and if it fails in doing so, I'm not watching it.

Well, after AT mentioned the possibility of Sakuya x Mary, this anime is already made of win for me.

I'm not a big fan of yuri.

Will make an exception for things rather off-topic, though.

I think this anime will be able to fully redeem itself if it has haseato.

You're definitely not. Heck, most of the knee-jerk reactions I've seen to the trailer have been negative, the biggest complaint being that they're reusing character designs way too much. The second biggest one was, "Why is Kite a girl??!" Another person said, "What's the point to this?" Which is a stupid complaint in my opinion, but yeah.

Based off that, I was sure most people were hatin' on Quantum. :V Good to see that others are looking forward to it though.

I'd have a similar stance on this as yourself. There's little about this whole generation that I like.

I'd agree with what's been said before about the high production value. Disregarding the horrible re-use of the character designs, the female kite, the iffy-basis around the one-sin event and the fact that this is meant to be the //end, I'd say it has potential, if only as pure entertainment. So I'll be checking it out for sure. *Fingers crossed*

He said Legends anime, not manga. Legends anime was terrible in everything except.. music? I guess it had a couple of funny parts, and had an episode where Ginkan wasn't a complete loser. But generally it just as bad, if not worse, than anything in LiNK.

Besides what have we seen in this gen? Two things? The game and the manga. And you said the game was a least good (implying its better than mediocre)

We still have this anime, which hasn't shown enough to prove or disprove itself, we've only seen a short trailer. Plus more things to come, hopefully. Plus whatever Sora is in is going to be great just because Sora is in it. It could be "10 Minutes of Mayo.. and Sora" and be awesome. *Jinxes the hell out of Sora*
