I don't mind that the series if coming for the PSP. I feel like I have a better chance of getting the money to afford one *coughoremulatecough* than on the PS3. I do agree that the it might effect the grafics somewhat and limit the game itself though. As for the reason its on the PSP someone mentioned it ealier but its not because in the series its on a portable but the actual game is, in one of the chapters R:X was used on a normal computer so that reasoning makes more sense to me. For Trilogy I agree, I would have liked to have seen a dubbed version. I don't mind subs because they are exciting but dubbing is great too as long as it doesn't effect the story. Maybe if we are luckly there will be a special release including that guide that came with Trilogy but in a digital form. G.U. itself didn't bother me in regards to plot holes but that's because I can only think of one for the moment ie: Haseo = Sora. I dismiss it though because I usually expect some OVA are uncannon or in this case for that time only. Returner will probably meet a similar issue. (If it weren't for that Sora AI we could have a clearer answer.) My only concern is will Link itself be dubbed or for that matter even brought over to the US. I don't want to be particially cheated out of the game because the people handling the english version didn't feel like hiring several of the returning actors. (This is only assuing the orginal game would have voices though.)

Only thing I dun like about English dubs is often mistranslations

Don't get me wrong, I love GU, and it's frickin' awesome, but GU was also what brought plot-holes, shonen anime ****, money-whoring, and Kyero into the fandom.
Yes, if it were up to me I'd have left the .hack series as being the Infection, Outbreak, Mutation, Quarantine and .hack//SIGN. Now they're releasing a game that takes sign and messes with it, which is to me blasphemy.

Hey now, AI Buster and Legend of the Twilight were worthy of staying, too. Also, if they could've completed Zero and somehow still release XXXX in this no-GU timeline, I'd be pretty much happy without flaw. Frankly, GU just doesn't have the same feel as the original series, as far as atmosphere and vibe goes, which is admittedly part of the point with the Gotterdammerung thing they had going, but then they genocide like 90% of the AI's in the series, then make like 80% of the remaining ones into unambiguously villainistic monsters. Way to break the Aesop about how humans and AI's can get along. Thankfully Returner acted as an Author's Saving Throw.

G.U. felt to me more like a Namco game than a .hack// game. I've played the first eight in the Tales series, and let me say that G.U. is very reminiscent of a Tales game in every way (except the free-run and button mashing in the battle system, not to mention the Avatar battles, but that's beside the point). I think with a little more advertising, it could've become immensely popular just like Tales of Symphonia, but that's just me being a G.U.-tard again. XD
As for the fanbase ruining the series? I totally agree. Fanbase tends to ruin series more for me than anything else. The reason I quit Tales of Symphonia was partially because the fanbase pissed me off (for those of you who haven't played ToS, the situation with Lloyd/Colette/Sheena is similar to the situation with Haseo/Atoli/Alkaid, except the relationship between Lloyd and Sheena was SOMEWHAT more developed than Haseo and Alkaid... and then there are the people who ruin it for the rest of us by saying "OMG THIS CANNOT HAPPEN IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE" when there are over 9000 hints in the actual STORYLINE). God, I sound like such a fantard now. XD

Naw, it's pretty common for fans to ruin a series for other people. One of my friends left the FMA fandom thanks to the crazed fangirls.
I've seen some interesting stuff myself with G.U. fandom. However, I either find it amusing (Haseo x Bo will never cease to be hilarious) or so disgusting that I inwardly nerd rage and then move on.
EDIT: And to be more on-topic, frankly, I'd rather .hack//LINK be on the PSP than the PS3. For one, the PS3 is way more expensive. Second, and this is more of a personal reason, I'm more into portable gaming anyway. It's strange that anyone would say CC2 doesn't like their fans just because of this.
