Here's the summary:
Hei and Yin are now on the run after betraying the Syndicate in the previous season. After leaving Japan, Hei encounters Suou Pavlichenko, a 13 year old Eurasian girl who becomes embroiled in the war and politics of the various factions and Contractors vying for power. Meanwhile, Hell's Gate remains standing in Tokyo, after Hei's efforts to stop the Saturn Ring anti-Gate particle weapon from activating. Although Contractors are safe from the danger of having their existences erased, this does not prevent new and old Contractors from abusing their powers. As Misaki Kirihara and her team in the Public Security Bureau deal with the increasing Contractor cases, she also has to keep the Syndicate at bay, who has major positions in the Japanese police and intelligence bureaus around the world.[1] The storyline setting primarily takes place in both Japan and Russia.

Well, it wasn't like you expected Hei to be the same as he was. I mean, he is on the run from the syndicate and any other person with a grudge. Granted I think it won't help if you just join in on the second season. It's a little confusing hearing another perspective though.

thats is true it may be just me but i think hei is abit darker than he was but it doesnt matter i still like his character hes pretty awesome the first episode hei didnt show up till like close to the end which wasent a surprise at all i kind of figured he wouldnt make a appearance till the end of the episode anyway he looked a bit beat up like the mask was like scarred abit and their were tears in his clothing and stuff but ehhh I like the way this season may turn out but I wonder does he have like a new alias in this one or is he going to go by hei through out the whole series even to like the civilians and stuff

Hmmm...
Most likely he'll be focusing on what everyone else wants. Granted that he and Yin are probably working together. I don't remember if Mao is still around, but most likely he is.
However, we can't underestimate the stuff Misaki is going to do.

Actually it was April, not February, February was Amber. I actually wanted her to have a bigger role this season, well, I guess it's not happening lol. So I wonder, why does Hei/MI6 want Shion for? We still don't know what his powers are besides telepathy with charms?
I'm glad the first episode wasn't as slow as last season, keep the suspense coming!

yeah I got their names mixed up sometimes it would of been easier to rerember if they had regular names not freakin months but yeah why would they want shion well to me he kinda seemed abit psychotic he just gave off that vib like " Ill kill you stop talking" but yeah it was actualy really good and not so slow but i kinda felt bad for the blonde hair chick one day "shes all like ohh yeah whooo happy i got a boyfriend" but the next day "blarghhh grahhha im gonna eat you mother F*CKING FACE!!!!!!!"

It's still mysterious how one becomes a contractor. There's another manga thing about a flower or something. It having the ability to turn people into contractors or something...
Either way, I wonder how the whole Shion becoming a contractor happened in the first place. It'll probably be explained through the season.

Darker Than Black - Shikkoku no Hana, yeah I 've read the first 5 chapters, seems interesting but I do wonder if it's canon or not, just to see how it fits with all the story.
And Shion being a contractor, yeah, they'll probably get into that sooner or later; it's most likely linked to the whole story, at least that's what I thought from the episode, but who knows, it's just starting so I dont' want to make assumptions.

The whole Meteor thing is pretty important. Granted you have to wonder how Shion escaped so easily.
Either way, the manga is questionable. I wonder about how much of it really is canon. The original one confused me and the flower one... Well, that makes me even more confused. I only go to the anime for anything definite.

Ugh, that shoujo manga :\ I didn't like it very much, I felt it like some mary sue fanfic, can't tell if it's canon or not (hopefully not). And on Shikkoku no Hana, apparently it takes place a year after the events of the anime, so at least we have that.

I didn't even really finish it. All I read was up to...I think the part where November 11 appears. And that's really it. I didn't get what the story was at all.
It was Shoujo? Well, whatever it was... It didn't make much sense.

If I'm not mistaken it was only 9 chapters long.
And yes, it was a shoujo; it didn't have much action, it was more about the drama :\

Nothing wrong with a haggard looking Hei that hit rock bottom. Some of the renumeration cost of the other contractors are quite funny.

I got to say that is true like that chick with the weird wooden swrd to make ig all glowly and sharp remuneration is histerical but im a bit confused at the end his star went out and thankfully it looks like misaki will have a role in this season but if his star went oit doesnt that mean hes dead bt in the previews hes alive so I hope its not like he loses his powers or some **** that would really suck

Well, Misaki will probably take awhile to come into the story. Though I think the whole fact that Yin is gone confuses me more.
Looks like that meteor core is pretty hot stuff.
