True. If Ichigo lost his spirit energy, he'd be in trouble. All Kenshin would have to do was evade all of Ichigo's spiritual attacks and force him to run out of spirit energy and then attack him a few good times with his sword and he'd definally be declaired winner of this match.

If Kenshin was a Shingami himself, or had some type of spiritual energy it would be a fair match and I wouldn't be surprised if Kenshin won. But, if Ichigo were to release his spiritual energy. I don't see any way Kenshin could win. None of his attacks would have an effect on Ichigo because his spiritual pressure would overpower Kenshin. About waiting until Ichigo runs out of spirit energy. I'm sure by that time Ichigo would already have won. Kenshin can't simply evade all of Ichigo's attacks, unless he has the speed of a Shinigami, and most Shinigami have a difficult time evading Ichigo's attacks. Ichigo's attacks are massive, I'm sure Kenshin would be out of breath even if he did manage to evade them. Not trying to say Ichigo's a better character, I don't like Ichigo much. I love Kenshin.

yeah...ya know...the spiritual pressure can knock people out, like when ichigo first encountered Kenpachi, it pretty much took ganju and whats-his-face's breath away, and they were just lying on the ground...so if ichigo released his spiritual pressure, it'd probably hurt Kenshin pretty badly...

Actually from what I've seen this rule has only been broken once.
It was in Full Metal Alchemist when Scar killed Basque Grand.

And Ichigo would encounter several problems. Plus I noticed a few problems with ur guys reasoning.

Problem 1: Zanpaktou are meant for killing "Souls", not humans. It may just pass right through since kenshin doesnt have soul energy. Though, in the episode near the begining when we first meet Renji and Byakuya, Renji gets a cut on Ishida (while ishida is human).

Problem 2: The idea that having high spirit energy will keep a blade from hurting you. That also, only works with Zanpaktou, because Zanpaktou have spirits. Kenshin's reverse-blade sword doesn't.

Problem 3: They can both come back from fatal wounds by the next episode. In other words, "Highlander."

Problem 4: Both of them would be too busy showing off and talking big to do anything.

Problem 5: This woud cause all of their enemies to take advantage of them and then they'd have to team up and defeat them all, leading to friendship.

Problem 6: In Bankai, Ichigo breaks the sound barier. This would lead to them both dieing by bleeding out the ear. Which leads to no winner, and the end of both series.

Kenshin would beat Ichigo IF he stopped his Bankai or any major spiritual attack. If Kenshin was attacked with one he'd be hard-pressed but could probably avoid a few until he got hit.
You guys have forgotten when hes badly wounded he goes into his battosai mode and essentially can ignore most wounds and goes to nearly his limit of god-like speed. Of course yes Ichigo could go bersekrer but he doesn't have as much control as Kenshin has when he goes into his mode.
Overall I see kenshin winning 7 times out of 10.

Kenshin, he's WAAAAY to fast, and, Ogichi would be fighting in some of your "scenarios" We are talking about Ichigo, not the Hollow, if he were then it'd be DIFFERENT, because Ogichi, Is a fricken beast, All he's do it fricken fight, and that wouldn't be fair, because even Kenshin is affected by blood loss, where as Ogichi isn't, and Ichigo, if he were to get Bankai, their speed should cancel out, leading Ichigo to win, but if you were to give them both a fricken katana, Kenshin would own the **** outta Ichigo, so there, Ichigo loses, and um...I forgot about the spirit energy thing, but, honestly, Ichigo won't fight to kill, were as Kenshin would so THERE HA KENSHIN WOULD KILL HIM

The topic doesn't seem that well thought out but the answer is pretty obvious, at least if both shows rules are in place.
1: If Ichigo is in human form then Kenshin=ownage. Why? God-like speed and excellent swordsmenship against a moderately tough person.
2: If Ichigo is in Soul Reaper form then Ichigo=ownage. Why? Kenshin doesn't have any connection to the spirit world so he can't even SEE Ichigo, not to mention the only thing that can even HARM a Soul Reaper is a spirit based attack which Kenshin can't do. Therefore Ichigo totally destroys Kenshin.

You really shouldn't try putting shows of these types together, it's just a waste of time.
