mine was 80 on the first run through the game. then played again and she went at lvl100. I also gave her the Doppleganger Twin Blades and used Gameshark so I could invite her even tho shes "Offline' hey its not cheating if it doesn't really effect the gameplay.

Anyway, I believe my Alkaid was around level 67 before Bordeaux saved Haseo. Her whole last speech was a roller coaster of laugher mixed with some of the worst dialog and voice acting in the game.

For reasons that I hate her... I guess I can say it's more dislike than hate.

First impressions are everything now. Alkaid's personality took a drastic change that was unneeded in volume 2. People debate that the change in question was really because of the whole Sirius infected thing, but because the guy who made the game developed a fondness towards her. I'm betting that if it were Pi or Khun we would have gotten the same reaction without all that melodrama. Another thing is that you don't just start falling in love with the guy you swore vengeance on. I can certainly say that if Alkaid was explained more in depth, I probably would have come to like her too. But I will admit that she was needed in the game to further the plot.

And now for my post not to be deleted...
In my second play-through, Alkaid was level 85.

First time: 67 (that's a common level)
Second time: working on 100 (that record was supposed to be mine!!!)
Currently: partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon thundershowers,
some may be severe. Highs in the upper 70's. Winds are SSW at
5-10 mph

During my second time I tried to make it tougher by:

using only "Haseo's weapons" (the weapons that he uses in scenes)
My current weapon list: Divine Gai Gu, Divine Legged, Dark(x2) Shouxiao
Question: Is there only 1 "Spin Gai Gu" and "Scythe Shouxiao" in the game?

Firing Gaspard by not giving him anything

Not selling anything (money makes the game too easy...though my 47 Demonic Mallets make up for that)

[Vol. 1 only] Not raising level (I beat it at the level that some people start at. 35)

[Vol. 2 only] Fighting impossible battles...and winning...(at level 60 I beat a level 100 boss...and no one died......and Haseo did more damage than Alkaid, who has the Ketchup weapon, and all that Haseo has is Divine Gai Gu


Oh, yeah...and Alkaid's gift amount is higher than anything I EVER had.
The exact number is unknown, but I think it is about 14,000,000 GP
How did it get that high again? Oh, yeah, I purposely tried to make it high.......but I can't tell you how...

(When I make a party of 3, why is it that the other party member's GP makes it seem like my Haseo is dirt poor? 134GP CAN buy something!)
