It was confirme that they arent makign one, they said it in an interview.

If you say that, then did you openly deny it was coming out?

If it was confirmed, then that means it is coming out right?

or is it still speculation?

They said that they ARENT remaking FFVII, but they MIGHT in the future.

That's probably there last resort "We need a best seller NOW or we're screwed' kinda thing. So far though Square is doing fine with newer games (though I will never touch FFXII and everyone I know who played it hated it, except for the most hardcore of FF fanboys and even they said it was lacking in magic compared to previous games)

Though if they are gonna do it it needs new stuff. Another character or two, new areas, new materia, new WEAPONS, and something else.

The somthing else would be doing more with/in the airship. Like a midair battle where you control the highwind and its weapons.

dude if they made a remake it would kick ass and everyone would buy it because final fantasy VII was ahead of its time on the graphics

I think it would be great as a new graphics version for ps3, but i also think it would be a good idea for the PSP.

And ff12 has been confirmed to be fun when you have something similar
to "Gameshark".

They made the FFVII playstation 3 teaser/tester,so it's obviously crossed their minds.
I want another one myself.
I always really got into FFVII,mostly because I thought me and Vincent had alot in common(before the whole Hojo experiment thing....) so I enjoyed playing as him.
Dirge of Cerberus was a blessing in that catagory
