he would recover it's damage befor even doing it, he has an sp armor.
you need to take off his sp befor edealing with his hp, not to forget he regenrate around 20 SP every sec.
the best startgy is to dual blade untill his sp is out, change to guns then beast attack, try to kill it,switch back to blades if youve failed.
if you go with guns to the fight you are asking for a big death wish.
 he has a SP armor now
i guess the Slipnie + divine wont work now
no divine in vol 3.
changed to datadrain.

nothing.
datadrain isn't quite killing it. waste of a morale gauge

Just use the same strategy as the other 2 volumes.

Sleipner + beast awakening him.
Also, increase the attack of all party members by +3 before engaging him.

no 0o. the damage sleipnir will do would just regenrate itself.
the sp armor is the problem here. becuase his crazy sp regenration.
did you try the dopp in vol 3 anyway? 0o

As a precursor for the strategy i am about to put forth: I have not played Vol.3 and attempted to kill the doppleganger from that volume.

So if he has sp armr does sleipnir's effect then (A)take half off the sp OR (B)does the half of his health get taken of the Sp and the Dmg the health OR (C)does it do dmg directly to the health?

If (A) You can still get a slight headstart on dmging his sp.
If (B) the sleip strategy will still work perfectly
If (C) Sleip strategy will pseudo work If...

Question 2: If sleip does damage directly and take half health does then does Divine awakening minus dmg to health by the sp? i assume it does.

so back to (C): Sleip Strategy will work if you take away chunks of half his health and then use a massive attak to remove sp and mby slightly dmg hp then the battle may or may not continue for long based on how much health he has left and how quickly you can get another full awakening meter.

head start? maybe. but he regenrates far more hp and sp then you can damage. around 20-30 sp per 3 secs. and 60-80~ hp

i think that regardless of how you decide to go at it you should not go in without the sleip it is half of his hp or sp or somewhere in between regardless of his abilities and regen. Its free massive damage and thats nothin to frown upon.

If you have sleipnir's effect on use a smoke screen when he has lost all most of sp(assuming that sp sheild does not affect sleipnir) then restarting the battle would give u a good headstart.

nothing is as hard as it seems if u go about it in an effecient way.[/u]

that's your "way" to do so feel free to do it on vol 3.
if you want to kill him on a lame way of sleipnir --->smoke screen --->Repeat, that's your play, i think it's lame, you can easly defeat him with 5 minute work, of dual blading untill sp is out, then change to dual guns, beast awekning, and shot away.
i didn't say he is that hard, i said the sleipnir way is stupid lame, and uneeded on vol 3 dopplganger stratgy.
