I hate to tell yall, but the movie hasn't even aired yet. According to the official naruto movie website (http://www.naruto-movie.com/) the film isn't set to premiere till Aug. 4. Apparently this movie WILL be apart of the Naruto timeline and will occur in sequence with the Naruto anime. The only question is, "What is going to happen in the movie?" From the looks of the trailer, the manga hasn't even got that far yet. All we can do for now is to wait and see what happens.
