(I'm so tired of saying this)

Unless a hack it big enough to threaten Aura,Azure Kite dosn't care.
He likly attacked them because A)it was a fabrication and he wasn't there
B)Ovan was behind them and we have another bad aim problem or C) they were in slight contact with or had an item infected by AIDA.

Just to clearify my point of view on this, I wasn't going along with the AK part of what ME said as I don't know or care what happened there. And I know you weren't talking to me AC, just wanted to make sure people got what I was agreeing with.

I kinda doubt that,  The movie could be just a fabrication made by Yata. I think it's just a goof. Both classes are quite similar. It's just taking the Wavemaster class, and splitting it into 2 categories... 3 if you count Dance Macabre.
not sure I'd say 3, cause strangely enough, did not get many status skills in IMOQ for my wavemaster, it was mostly on the other classes that I found things with those on them oddly

The wavemaster class has three domains: Attack, Healing, and Status.
R:2 gave each domain its own class, warlocks get attack magic, havest get healing, fans get status. But each class still has some spells from the other domain. Warlocks get some healing and status, clerics get some attack ad status, and fans get some attack and healing. Just go to the .hack//wiki and look at skill lists and you'll see what I mean.

Harvest/Warlock

I doubt it was anything more than a simple mistake. Most other members of R:2 know only of fleeting rumors, so to think that -COOH is involved with anything other than mistaken class identity is just speculation.

Even so...

I'm gonna laugh when this comes up in Volume 3 or something and it's actually part of the storyline.

Oh, and speaking of -COOH, we were working on hydrocarbons in Physical science the other day, and they mentioned the COOH group. I didn't realize that her name actually stood for/ was something ^__^;;

This might be a bit off topic but I've came across some players being PKed or out matched that say some pretty familar things.

I came across some guy one day and he said "Everyone lend me your energy" which I do recall Goku saying that in the First Broly Movie at the end.

As a side note to that, he says it whenever he makes a spirit bomb.

I really wouldn't be surprised if we found other anime references in the game, or the other volumes.

I remember that guy. He formed a party with two other guys who were also fans of that same series. I don't remember much else. They would spout off quotes whenever they were injured, whenever they'd attack, or run away, and stuff like that.

It's not. It's from another series they made up in the game.

Re: The mystery of -COOH's class

Master ZED wrote:-COOH's class should be obvious from her dialogue, but oddly enough, it's the opposite of what she'd have you believe. She talks about how Harvest Clerics don't have much defensive capability, and when you run into her on the field, -COOH claims to be "that weak Harvest Cleric" just before you help her.

Image

But once she starts fighting, she doesn't wield a staff. She uses a grimoire, which would make her a Shadow Warlock.

Image

Clearly, there's something awry here. But what actually is the problem? Does -COOH genuinely not know what she's talking about? Was this a fault of the writers, and if that's the case, which side of the pond was it made on? Maybe the truth is that someone simply gave her the wrong weapon, and the error is fixed after Rebirth. Does she even deserve the benefit of the doubt in the first place? She could just be a really bad PK, which is why you end up having to save the killer rather than her "victims."

Her script is fixated on her class, making this a notable oddity, so I have to ask what's up.

wow, that's pretty interesting. I never noticed before.

There is a chance -COOH created her character under the impression that it was a strong class, but found out that it wasn't afterwords.
And possible because she hadn't the money or because she had one of the many parts of human nature that cause us to not care,or couse us to bring self punishment, she kept the character even though it was totally useless to her playing style.

i highly doubt they would just have you assume a player of the game is to oblivious to know their own class. i think she wasnt ever meant to be a harvest cleric. because she wouldnt want a class with magical and physical attack unless she already had one of the two.(I'm making an assumtion.) Interesting side note: NAOO is also a chemical formula. ive only taken a little chemistry but i beleive hers is Sodium Dioxide, COOH would something like: Carbon Dioxide Monohydrate(could be wrong but at least i know the elements used).

There are plenty of clueless charceters in the game, and lost more in others.
What makes you think that one just picking a class that she thought was good but didn't work out,and being sad about it, is so strange?
Rememebr, you have to pay money to open new accounts in The World,so mabye she didn't want to spend the extra bit on a new character, and decided to tough it out,but complained about it the entire time.
