Asta and Iyoten aren't lost ones either. Though that could be because he didn't kill them with his AIDA arm. But still regular weapons apparantly work too as Bordeaux shows.

Well, Bordeaux's entire being was infected, but Ovan was able to seal his AIDA infection in one single arm.

While we're on the topic of "Signs", what was up with that sign in Moon Tree? I know it was helpful to get in there when the area was protected by AIDA, but did anyone catch how it got there?

Ovan probably marked it during Sakaki's takeover.

Yeah since he knew Sakaki would lock Haseo out he left it so Haseo could get into Moontree.

Yeah, I guess. I mean we see that Ovan doesn't care much for Sakaki in volume 3.

Sakaki is just a use for Ovan's plans. He put the sign there so Haseo could get in because the whole part of the plan was for Haseo to fight Atoli and data drain her. Likewise in Vol.3 he uses Sakaki to force Yata to awaken and fight him too. After that his plan is complete so he offs him and later presumably wipes his memory during the Rebirth so he can go back to a normal life.

lol. Sakaki got pwned.

But true true. Ovan even tells Haseo that he needs to gather the 8 Epitaphs back in volume 2. I find it funny though, why did Ovan reveal himself before Haseo dd'ed Yata? It made a great final boss fight and storyline wise but why?

Dunno. Either he had to DD Ovan first and then fight him again later, or he thought he had already fought Yata, or maybe he was just desperate and hoped it would work anyway back then. Or maybe the AIDA just took over at a bad time and he had to improvise.

So we can only speculate? Works for me I guess.

Actually you guys, I beleive it does transfer somewhere.
in Roots, after Yata messed around with his character data, he reappeared in Hidden Forbidden HolyGround through the SIGN (he warped to it) I would assume the SIGN led to Ina's room.

I beleive that it was a fluke that he ended up there, and the game designers tried to,yet again, milk the popularity if that area.
The Sign wasn't even there yet,or so I beleive.

why did Ovan reveal himself before Haseo dd'ed Yata?
Because He needed to defeat Corbenic's first form so he could Rebirth into his Second Form.

Also, in GU+ the Hulle Granz Sign leads to Indieglut Lugh.

That's not helping my original question that much, but that may be something to remmeber.
I like the theory that that Sign will play a part in the OVA.

Of course,as far as we know it could be something that is there to make Azure Kite look cool at the start of Vol 1,and to furthur presurize the Tri edge theory on fans.

But as far as Roots was conserned wasn't there a Sign on the side wall of the Cathedral as well as off to the side in the Battleground.

No, those were leaks in the system, not Signs.

Ok I'll give the cathedral one leighway till I can prove it one way or the other. I'm pretty sure the one in the Battleground was a Sign though. I'll go look that up over the next day or two.

There was both a warp and a Sign in the Battleground, and the Sign was on the floor.

Yes I'm aware of the Sign on the floor. You warp it in V2 and in Roots they warp as well at the end of Episode 9. I'll take your word for it now until I can go back and look myself. Thank You.
