Except for the fact that the game was built entirely around being high-def. That doesn't necessitate the PS3, you could still play it on 360, but with the PSP you'll be missing out on half the reason they even made a new game... The PS3 version actually supports Remote Play, so you can even play it on your PSP. The main reason to get this one is the new mode. That looks interesting, though...

BB PSP will have lower resolutions to fit it on the UMD. Digital version is 5 bucks cheaper. Remote play sounds more attractive, the more I hear about it.

Remote Play sucks. Some of the screen is cut off and it can be mad laggy depending on your internet connection.

Your connection only matters if you're playing it over the internet. I'm pretty sure it was designed for LAN use. Unless you have a decade-old 802.11a router, there shouldn't be much you can do to mess it up. And even then, can't you just do ad hoc? That would strike me as probably being faster...

I agree with Kuukai on this one. the PSP was practically built for ad-hoc, so it would make sense to work best in that situation, with the internet play option being like an 'extra bonus', shall we say? Also, If a PSP's good enough to play games like dissidia, it should have no trouble with something like Blazblue, even if the resolution is slightly less high grade =_='..
on a side note, do you think this 'new mode' will have some ad-hoc capabilities? It would be pretty interesting if it did...

actually, those others are damn true. considering those games, the PSP is MOAR than capable of running BlazBlue

BlazBlue on console/arcade outputs 1,048,576 pixels before any scaling/resizing. A PSP screen has 130,560 pixels. That's like, just over a tenth. Even if the processor could support it, the game will never look as good on the PSP as it was designed to be. It's math. An "X" that's 9 pixels large is just a black square as 1 pixel.

an 'x' that's 9 pixels large wouldn't even be noticable on an active arcade screen in the first place, unless particular attention was drawn to it.

That's just an example to help visualize how the reduction can destroy details. A fine net made out of those X's would become a solid sheet. If you're playing as intended on a 1080i/p TV the game actually gets upscaled from the native resolution, so single details like that would be a bit more noticeable, too...
If the details really weren't that important, people wouldn't be making a big deal about HD 2D fighters like this and KOF. There'd be a lot more 2D fighters too, and a lot more characters in them, since you could just draw low-res sprites and no one would know the difference...

Still though. This is looking really promising. Have their been anymore details as of late? I haven't really been able to check, other than watch the trailer that was released for CS.
Even still, I'm a fighting game fanatic through and through. Your talking to someone who still has the original MvC2 on Dreamcast and CvS2 on my PS2. If that doesn't do it, I have all of the original King Of Fighters Discs. King is my reason for playing those anyways. Which is why I didn't like the new KoF garbage that was released just recently. No King, Broken Online, Crap Character Roster, Bland Menu Visuals among a bunch of other problems, but those were among the most noticeable. Still though, it didn't stop me from keeping it.
Regardless, BB:CS is something I am definitely looking forward to.

There's a new patch coming out that changes a few things for CT. New DLC are coming in unlimited characters for the rest of the cast and more costumes. I'm guessing ArcSys ported the unlimited characters from psp to ps3/360. I'm just not sure why they waited so long to release this patch. It's coming out on Jan 21. Not sure if it's going out on JPN/360 first, and won't see it for another 4 weeks on PSN like they did with the first batch of costumes. Oh yea, BlazBlue portable is coming out March 2010, but ArcSys Works hasn't nailed an exact date.
A few changes for CT

Wait... isn't that Noel?

@Kuukai- I don't know, and I don't care. All I know is that she's got a FRICKING MASSIVE SWORD ON HER BACK, and that's all that matters.
EDIT: Also, look at the sword's shape. Does it remind you of anything from Calamity Trigger?

Umm, maybe? What were you thinking of? It's apparently the Kusanagi, just like with the other units. Also, it is in fact berserk Noel. Her interests include destruction. The weird thing is her birthday is given as January 7th but I guess that's the day she transforms? I'm getting sick of all these robot clones with no Mekakaka or Super Ultra Taokaka DX to show for it, though...

Another mecha lolita girl joins the cast. Her drive better not be freaking swords. So I'm betting she is the new last boss of CS? Digging the Kusanagi on Noel and that's one big effin sword. Please don't play like Lamba or Nu.

Blazblue CS coming to JA consoles on July 1, 2010! Wow, didn't realize the date on that thread was almost 6 months ago.
