In all the cases you mentioned except maybe for Sirius, they were pretty much looney tunes before the infection. I don't think that Bordeaux and Sakaki especially are basis to draw off of because they were already insane.

I guess you're right about Atoli being shy and gentle, but she is the 'Mirage of Deceit', so who knows.

You're thinking about Shino right there. Anyways, Atoli being shy and gentle "always" before her infection? I'm sorry, but I kinda recall her ****-slapping Haseo for making fun of Sakaki in Vol.1, and Haseo getting revenge in Vol.2 after the Moon tree incident. XD

Bordeaux and Saku weren't crazy, they were just jerkass asshole ****. And Sakaki was, you know, actually a nice person before he was influenced by AIDA. Once Ovan seduced him, he became addicted to the power to create a perfect utopia, then pulled a Kira and just became obsessed with Godhood and hatred, when his original goal was to eliminate it.

No one said she was "always" shy and gentle. It was a mask to make herself likable.

That's pretty much exactly the point. She hates herself, so she pretends to be a perfect lovefreak she thinks everyone will like, but she's so damned desperate for affection that she comes on really strong, so anyone who would like her is kind've repulsed away. Overcoming this, accepting herself, and becoming a truly good and likable person is the entire point of Atoli's character growth.

Well actually if atoli character appearance doesn't look like shino I'm not really sure haseo would notice or going on an adventure with her.
And mostly, without Shino encourage Haseo, He wouldnt know his true feeling at atoli or even notice who is atoli really are and keep look at her as shino

Hmm... guess it's must be hard for shino, that's a mother love I guess. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to be involved with them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds.

About .Hack//Trilogy. I really disappointed because atoli personality are more look similiar to shino and her clumsiness (that somehow mostly attract haseo and other people) are gone. In the end what I see is not atoli but a clone of shino ....

Shino's relationship with Haseo is more sibling-like, especially after Haseo quits being obsessed with her.

I still see that as a **** move. "Well thanks for getting me out of that coma... I pretty much used you for all you're worth-ENJOY THIS BLOND GIRL! (consolation prize)" After she then listened to Haseo talk about the Forest of Pain only REALLY listening whenever Ovan's name came up, then went back to smiling and nodding her head. Though I think Haseo and Atoli would go together quite well I just can't see Shino EVER stopping being the **** she was, is, and forever will be.
