To be fair, there were hints since the first episode of Roots. Besides, it's still logically possible, unlike Kite=Ovan or something, which IS Impossible.

I don't remember you say that to prove the scan about Haseo's real life (it's somewhere in another topic). You just keep saying it's impossible just like now.

Kite=Ovan is impossible because we already know Ovan's age is differ with Kite's. For a character with misterious background like Zelkova, you never know which theory is true.

However, I don't think a big, staunchy woman like Helba would remind Kaede of her dead son, and I highly doubt Zelkova's personality is a front. It seems too real to me.
