another thing have you noticed that you can make money really easy in the game once u do garden of tranquility and activate the ring of charos?

the grey would fur goes to 7k gp per load.

that is nuts. this means u can buy that full rune alot faster! I can see it now...there is like this big war in the wild! lol!

i found making money was a chore in that game. seriously all i seem to do was grind for hours to make little money while i see players somehow making millions effortlessly all around me and i ask them how the heck they do it and they don't even give me a straight response. Thats part of the reason i stopped being a memeber. Although there is a second computer going into my house i might get back into it when my sister is on playing wow or watching anime. Of course if i can have the chance to play wow then i will.

I played Runescape for about a year and a half. I simply got tired of the dub-as-a-brck community and the leveling up system.

It seriously should NOT take two days to level up when you get to level 90+

i hate it because the graphics are CRAP. the game play is queer and there isnt much to do. i played for one day and i got bored with it. MAPLE STORY FTW!!!!!

All I got to say today, after reading the posts i've missed out on, is that:

1. Mods are just players too, they don't have to do ANYTHING more than normal players do. Basic reason they are mods is because they've worked hard at playing fair and helping others when they feel like it.

2. Can't join any guilds right now afterall, have too many quests to accomplish.

3. Off-topic is for off-topic, but I would appreciate if nobody else posts rhetorical questions that seem more like sarcastic insults. (Believe me, i'm cutting back on those as well)

runescape indeed blows but i'm using it as a substatute for world of warcraft. (trust me i'm working on getting my old comp fixed asap) I still don't know the reason why my parents won't let me play wow on the new computer, personally i think there Video game Nazis.

I think one of my friends decided to take Vincentle to use for themselves so add my other account when I talk to you.

It's $15 dollars, nub. And that's nothing to pay when you have a job and are a contributing member of society.

And that 15 bucks is nothing when comparing the quality of game you're getting. Runescape has NOTHING on WoW. Not even a comparison.

Anywho, I played this game for about 13 1/2 minutes. I realized then that it seriously sucked something super slick and silly. I'll go to Gaia and/or SecondLife before I play this POS again.

Well, I do work, I make about $600 a month. But, to be honest, had I originally played W.O.W. before RuneScape, I probably wouldn't keep playing RuneScape for very long. But since it all comes down to what you were passionate about to begin with, my devoted passion is RuneScape as I first played that and loved it. Lol, that and .hack//, those are really the only games I love to death.

Yes, that's true.
But, maybe what I'm trying to say, according to each person that plays, the game is good or the game is bad. (the same with all games)
If you are the type that likes to play a game depending on what kind of graphics, friend-chat system, or based on how easy it is to make money,
then of course you won't play a game like RuneScape when W.O.W. is there. It's easy to understand why they despise RuneScape as a game.

But try to understand that a view like that is not the only correct one.
Nor is the view of a sentimental gamer.
Understanding everyone's feelings about RuneScape is part of the reason why I started this. (And I would still like to hear more.)

8 million people play WoW. The graphics aren't good, the friend-chat system sucks, and making money is a nightmare.

Runescape is played by so many people because most of the game is FREE. WoW people despise Runescape because Runescape players often try to compare Runescape with WoW in quality. That comparison does not exist.

WoW is an MMO heavy weight champion with 8 million players around the world. Runescape is a free download off the internet. So many WoW people despise Runescape because of it's ridiculously irritating players, who are often poor teens with nothing to do and a lot of time to do it.

It's these very Runescape players who are on forums all the time, and say things about WoW when they actually don't know anything about the game. Like our good friend Mr. Classybear when he was making claims about the Wii, and then told us that he didn't actually know anything about it.

Runescape is almost completely free, and for casual gamers, that's fine. But when you're more of a hardcore MMO player, and like your MMO different from the 99% of other MMOs, WoW is the way to go.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a Blood Elf Paladin to execute.

Azalan, understand that his opinion, while it is the truth about RuneScape for him, is not the same as your strong feelings for RuneScape are to you.
Please keep in mind that he is only telling us how he views RuneScape as a game he has played.
Do not think he is bashing the game because his views may be opposite of your own.

Wander, I hope that you do not believe I am trying to compare RuneScape to W.O.W.
I feel as though I've gone too far with trying to use the players that play both games as examples.
All I wanted to imply/incur is the difference in our feelings of RuneScape.
Thank you for giving me a different understanding of Internet players that do not find RuneScape enjoyable.

for me runescape was my first love for mmo's. i played that game for well over a year b4 it lost its luster. Then i got into wow and have not turned back. Like i said in the past would be playing wow now but comp got trashed new one is not aloud to have games on it so i need to get the old one repaired. I've gone back to runescape for the time being and even have seen a couple of people from these message boards.

This game literally took over my life at one point (even though it had the shitest graphics i had ever seen it was really fun or so i thought) After like a year or two i just stopped playing the gameplay for me just got really repetitive.
