New .hack anime announced

Even thought the manga is 'the story', that doesn't mean they won't use elements from the anime in future .hack media. I know morti was towards the end of the dusk anime, but was that series really 'happy, light-hearted'? They might have brought her in at the last minute to say, "things won't be so happy go lucky anymore". Perhaps morti was only a sign of things to come? Can't really say for sure though. Too bad we can't ask the creators...

It just bugs me how they can leave the anime go to waste. Was it ever worth even picking up? What would a person even gain from watching it? I myself am interested in the anime, despite the fact is doesn't have to do with the manga.

Well that's a question you have to ask yourself: does a major coherent story matter? There's nothing major added that uncovers more of the .hack story...also, ask yourself if you can withstand hearing "Shuuugooo!", "Rennnnna!!" over and over again...=p

Seriously though, it depends on what you're looking for, you may or may not like the anime. Just don't go into looking for something of SIGN quality though! Morti's role really isn't fleshed out, leaving much to be desired from the series.

As for the upcoming anime, I do hope there's plenty of plot and some more action would be nice.

i Just hope the songs in the new one are good. also i hope Silver knight coomes back. =D

 Though the .Hack//Dusk anime won't have any effect on the timeline since the manga is what should be followed in the Anime he gets like owned, since Kamui deletes him. Of course it would still be so cool if he did come back!

Also I don't think dragged on long episodes would really be a good idea I mean everyone here is a .hack fan so everyone would like Sign and everything but Sign showed first on Cartoon Network here and it drove away people from watching it because most people thought it was boring and sucked. That was the problem with it of course I still liked it especially getting into around episode 15 or on it got really good.

If this were wanting to increase .Hacks fanbase then maybe doing something that has more action sequence and more fighting going on in the Anime somewhat like the G.U Trailor showed.

my best speculation: the .hack anime will probably be off AI Buster.

The new anime will probably be about what lead to the event of G.U., since they do leave a large space in between the last .hack to G.U.

Yeah you maybe right but I'm kind of happy to see a new anime well be coming out even if it's about .Hack//G.U. or .Hack//Sign, or .Hack//AI Buster...but I wish they would let more info on it it make me think about mroe then I should.

well i guess i should toss in my 2 cents now.

i think the style of the anime should probably be more like SIGN. As far as LotT, which i liked because i showed a lighter side to the .Hack universe. But like the majority of the series, as in .Hack//Sign, Liminality, and the PS2 games, they were more serious and had very interesting story lines, which were also linked to each other in a sense, which added more to the story in general, but thats kinda obvious by now. lol
overall i did prefer SIGN over the other .Hacks, even though i liked them all equally, so its just my opinion that this new anime should be similar in look and character and story perspective that SIGN had.


either way, what ever way they make this anime, im sure it will be good, and ill be sure to watch.

Hmm....let's see...
.hack//AI Buster 1 and 2 in the beginning. Then .hack//SIGN. Next comes .hack//IMOQ (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, and Quarantine) along with .hack//Liminality. Followed by .hack//DUSK (Legends, LOTT, LOTB, Legend of the Twilight's Bracelet, whatever you want to call it. Dusk is easiest to remember but Legend Bracelet of the Twilight is the actual Japanese name) and finally coming to .hack//G.U. and the new anime will be somewhere there. Where does .hack//ZERO come in then? And how can they still have ideas for a new anime anyway?! These people are brilliant.
.hack//AI Buster would probably make a good anime or manga if they could do it right. .hack//DUSK was better as a manga and made more sense...the anime just kinda...was there. Plus Rena got annoying and so did Shugo with all the "RENA!!!" "SHUGOOO!~" ...I got kinda tired of that XD And then in SIGN...Tsukasa with his/her whining...but people really bash him for that...think of it...the game A GAME!! becomes your reality and you don't know what or where you are and where your body is in real life. Imagine that folks before you go on about that...but the whole Rena!/Shugo! thing got annoying XD
I enjoyed .hack//Liminality a good bit. Most people don't care for it since they don't give it a chance. "The real world is boring...that's why the have the game." But the last episode of Liminality is the best...watching the others and working up to it is so much fun! And playing the games, reading the manga and books, and watching the animes...you find out just how expansive the story of .hack is and you wonder...where does the truth begin or end and the aspects of the game "The World" itself actually take effect.

Sweetie, you're going to need to tone it down with that dual-picture signature.

In addition, there has become an issue with the sizes of signatures, seeing that some are rather large. We please ask you to keep them as small as possible as it throws off the template on small monitors and so many have to scroll way over to see. So please keep images to no more than 600 pixels wide, and 150 pixels tall.

Or is there something already made that takes place in that time period? Otherwise, I say they are making an anime of ai buster. But I think it would be cool if there was an anime adaption of the game, but we all know how that story goes.

i've got a compact 3 dvd collection. Eps 1-28 on 3 dvds. It comes with some nice looking box art, a plastic sleeve for protection and can fit just about anywhere and only cost me 15 dollars. I was so happy to get mine.

Plus I got all 6 OSTs for 30.00 which isn't bad at all considering each OST is 15.00 by itself.

I think it may be possible that the anime is a collection of animated scenes from the .hack universe showcasing the events of AI Buster(2), .hack zero(2), any bits and pieces involving Aura, Helba, etc. It would be done in a fashion similar to how the AI Buster vol. 2 is played out.

It is unlikely, but not at all impossible. The anime could be something completely new for all we know...
