Saddest anime death

I'm gonna go with any death, but most of all the very end (cause it's still debatable if Lucy Died or not). It's the only anime thats made me cry so it was a easy choice.

Maes Hughes from FullMetal Alchemist
it is so sad that he died esp on the last part, he's waving goodbye to Edward T_T

but L's death is the worst, when L died, i end up hating light

2 of the saddest i've seen .. I almost cryed when Wolfwood died an Hughes.

Raito didnt kill him....Rem did...Raito just manipulated Rem and the people around him in order to kill L...but I almost cried when L died...I thought he was cool...and was gonna like give up,not died...And Watari didnt have to die either.

aw, sorry. yea i remember, but it cant blame Rem, Rem's dead too T__T
i just dont know why Watari died? watching that episode. . . . made me confused @_@

Mae Hughes. I sat frozen in my chair after he got shot.Then I began choking up during the funeral,what his daughter Elicia said was almost the breaking point to tears.

Not sure if this was mentioned but...

The death in Episode 8 of "Black Jack". It was tear jerking till the end of the episode. It was so sad... (of course you'd think an anime about a surgeon would have lots of tear jerking deaths)

That made me cry cause Mariko's so cute. So many parts in Elfen Lied made me cry. The worse death in Elfen Lied to me is LUCY'S PUPPY. T~T why did he have to die?!!?
My opinion is Suigintou's in the first season of Rozen Maiden at episode 12.
I also think that that part of The End of Evangelion was depression as Asuka was fighting the 9 mass production Evas. Unit 02 looks so helpless and also persistant.
Another would be Kenshin's wife in Samurai X (I think that was it).

The part where you said about The End Of Evangelion made me sad too....!!!! Lol, poor Asuka.... She wuz pwn't though.

Another Anime Death I thought was sad was the death of Taihaku towards the middle of Godannar......he just admitted his love for his partner and she did the same and they were about to get married. On their wedding day he gets infected by the Virus, and then loses control of his body and his [partner has to shoot him because he tells her too and then she gets really sad...If I remember right, I think she commits suicide or something like that. but I can't be too sure because it's been awhile since I've seen the whole anime altogether.

i think the saddest death for me was spike died at the end of cowboy bebop. sorry i couldn't find the spoiler tags.
