Well after much proding and annoyance from my heretical Haruhist friends, I finally took their advice and watched this anime. Ended up watching it all in one siting.
Guess I have something to regret for not watching it sooner.
I love the non-chronological order. They spread out the filler eps and saved the nice character development for last.
Speaking of which the, "last" episode was awesome. Preventing apocalypse by saying you have a ponytail fetish? That was freaking priceless!

Actually Koizumi is among the only ones who really do think that's a possibility. What I want to watch was the Bamboo Rhapdsody part of TMOHS, and I was really sad when it never got released. Hopefully they cover that in the second seasonPassé wrote:They only mentioned the world being erased in the anime, but I suppose it would make sense for Haruhi to be able to erase the universe. Koizumi doubts it though.
>_>
<_<

The unshown episode 'Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody'-an obvious play on queen's most well known song Bohemian Rhapsody-has sooooo much to do with just about everything from What I've come to learn.
If there is a second serie's (Cough http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w286 ... 71589o.jpg cough) then I hope that they cover this lost episode.

No, no. He said he didn't think a highschool girl could be creative enough to make the universe the way it was. His associates think she's a god.HiroshiKazu wrote: Actually Koizumi is among the only ones who really do think that's a possibility. Or I might have mixed something up.

From my cosmological point of view, Haruhi can make her own worlds and realities, so I'm pretty sure she does have the power the shape the universe. But whatever, we can all agree she is omnipotent...and that she doesn't know it
Anyway how do you figure Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody is a "lost" episode? The Anime series itself is just a combination of the plot in the first novel, and the fillers of the third, fifth and sixth novel, and one anime exclusive episode. Considering that there is still alot of material for Haruhi, I'm pretty sure that they will show that in the next Haruhi series. (assuming they make one of course).

I say it's a 'Lost' Episode because no-one's seen it. it was never shown on the anime but it was referd to in a number of episode's.
Anytime someone mention's 'the event's of three year's ago', This is the episode(or rather chapter) which depict's what actually happened. I haven't seen bamboo leaf rhapsody as it's an un-animated episode but the constant reference's to it leave's people asking what happened, where is the episode where it happen's?-hence lost episode.
Of course, If they make a new serie's(Please God, Please God, Please god, Please God) then they will most likely anime this episode into probably a two-parter but animate it none-the-less. Don't stake it as a garentee, yet though. I mean they got through one serie's without even mentioning it's name, not to mention the fact that there hasn't been any real confirmation yet if there will be a second serie's at all.
In fact, they might pull a mean little prank and make it in three years time

@passe-Don't tempt me, don't tempt me
Lukan or toszi or whoever, I have got no idea what you just said.
It doesn't matter, anyway.
Here's something all you english speaking fans will love

I am... unimpressed.
Mikiru and Haruhi sound horrible. I understand Mikiru is generally whiney, but she's nowear near as nasal in the Japanese version. Haruhi's voice is too deep. Kyon sounds fine but... damn. I don't want to hear Koizumi or Nagato's voice anymore.
I'll just buy the English dub so I can get exact subtitles.
But... damn.
