But Aura can also be a wish maker, something that Ovan is searching since he got infected...
Not much of a 'wish maker' itself.
Being an Ultimate AI, they have full control of the network and are gods of The World, so they can modify and create any data they feel like, without affecting the system (not sure about the last part)
So Ovan was probably searching for the next Ultimate AI, and if it is Aina, then it makes sense that Ovan looked for her and cared of her so that she would become the Ultimate AI and eliminate AIDA
But it can be reversed this time...and in order to have a new Ultimate AI, AIDA must be destroyed first.

Your last idea don´t connect , shouldn´t the Ultimate A.I. be the end of all AIDA´s, because even if all the 8 Epitaph Users and the Azure trio tried to finish with the AIDA, it would hide everywhere, even the internet.
I said that because AIDA could be stopping Aina from becoming the Ultimate AI, so you have to defeat AIDA (maybe not all of it, but Cubia exactly), so Aina can actually become complete.
Because the idea of Aina just turning into the Ultimate AI by mere time and fixing everything is kinda dull. It would be better if you actually had to help her, and that aid would be defeating the final boss.

I think that what he meant is, if the AIDA is not destroyed by an Ultimate AI, it'll hide somewhere else away from The World and would be undefeatable.

I thought that AINA was the creation that Amagi and CC corp were trying to make since aura was gone

Well, I think that the AIDA is too much for anyone to destroy completely, so there should be a debugger to do that, this was one of objectives of the Ultimate A.I.(as far as I´m corcened)

All we know about Aina is that she's an AI who has a paternal relation with Ovan and likes reading books.
And what we suggest by theories is that she is result of the R.A. program, which instead of failing completely, just created an incomplete Ultimate A.I.

Back to the .hackers topic, if Natsume joing to you in Vol. 3, and she really talks to you about the current network crisis...then i can agree with you with her being the help from all the .hackers (she'd join and give information, as well she could keep contact with the .hackers and help you alot)
But she as well could be just a random character you get that has no idea of what's going on. Sure, she was a .hacker...but so was Piros
Endrance's name was already confirmed, we just don't know Elk's. xD

The problem is how the light will be taken away. In other words, i dont see how they could destroy their own Avatars. And there's no guarantee that'll fix everything.

Okay that picture doesnt explain anything. Unless he actually said 'She has well kept eye brows" then you got nothing. Show me a pic of every girl shown in Liminality and compare eye brows. If everyone but Mai has some funked up drawn eyebrows then I will take that as evidence

Also, Kuhn DOES state that in one of the e-mail chains, that he use to have a girlfriend that had well-kept eyebrows, and he regretted that he didn't treat her kinder.
