( he wraps his arm around her as he glances back and he sees a man watchig them but shrugs it off as they walk out of the restaurant and as far as away as they can cause Alex noticed something was wrong) you feeling any better is the fresh air doing you any good? Evan was still going undefeated and at this point hes fairly intoxicated. "Guess already!" Evan was spinning around on the bar stool carelessly. "Fine, I'm guessing you want another cocktail." Evan stopped spinning and groaned, pulling out his wallet and slamming it on the counter. "That's one round of drinks, now give me mine." The bartender filled the glass and Evan took the liquid out in one gulp. "Guess." Evan continued spinning because the bartender was busy filling the orders from the other people in the bar. Evan puts his head down on the counter "One drink per person. I'm not made out of money." Someone thanked Evan by patting him on the shoulder. "Time to take a guess." The bartender finishes the last of the orders and turns to Evan "Well since you just obtained your first loss, I'm gonna guess you want that brandy." Evan hits his head on the table. "Are you sure you aren't secretly a power user reading my mind?" The bartender laughs and gives him his drink, people flock to the bar to order their second round of free drinks. "Like I said, you become more predictable the drunker you are." Evan's wallet looks significantly thinner. Evan drinks slowly in depression. "Give me a little time to cope with this."

Mariah took another minute or two to calm down before answering Alex's question once they were out of the restaurant. She closed her eyes and allowed him to help support her a little while she tried to force the headache ravaging her mind to fade. "I'm alright... I'm sorry, something just came over me... I think I'll be alright now," she replied softly, opening her eyes again as the headache began to fade.

"He shouldn't have been able to get into my mind that easily... Then again, he also shouldn't have been able to inflict that much damage to me either... What's going on?"

Alex: you sure? ( they wAlk to a park) Here ( he helps her sit down on a park Bench) let's just take a break for a second besides I like relaxing in parks and it's not late enough for the weirdos to be out yet ( he realizes his arm I s around her as he pulls back Abit) sorry you okay now? I was Abit worried ( he smiles playfully) That man I saw there's no doubt about it he was static right at us what's more the way he was sitting everyone was eating food and mindin heir own business and yet he was good though he tried not to make it to obvious... so what do you want to do now just relax?

"I'm really okay, Alex. Thank you," she said as she laid her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes for a moment more. "At least it's almost gone..."

As the headache reached it's end, she sat up and sighed. The brightness of the world no longer made her feel nauseous again. That was a good sign. At least he hadn't done any serious damage to her. "I just got a pretty bad headache is all, but it's going away now. I get them pretty often, I suppose it's a sort of side effect of my powers, but sometimes they get a little painful... This was just one of those time. I'm sorry if it worried you any.."

Alex: well than as long as your okay I mean we All have a price to pay for or powers after all as long as your okay I'd hate for something to happen to you after all ( he looks at her as their eyes meet).....( after a few moments he leans in as he's about to kiss her but stops he whispers against her lips no wait I don't think it's the right time yet.. after all your just getting over a headache ( he smiles) after all the first kiss is supposed to be memorable as well as prying eyes can be annoying It looks like their expecting something ( he laughs play fully as he points at a crowd of people staring at them as he slowly pulls back)

Man: ( walks into the same bar as Evan) to bar tender can I get a brandy? ( he looks towards Evan) you used to be the champ?

"It's a good thing you're so good at keeping your secret identity so secret, Alex, because that right there would have lost you and I both about half of our fans," she replied quietly with a light laugh as soon as she could breathe again. As soon as he began leaning in, her breath had caught in her throat and a faint pink had brushed across her cheeks, both of which were faded now. She continued to joke with him by quietly saying,"You have your fangirls to think of, remember, but as long as you keep as secretive as you've been so far, you'll be fine," to hide the fact that she was secretly still trying to get herself under control. She would speak to him mentally about this under normal circumstances, but her head still felt strange from being so violently invaded earlier, so whispering seemed a better choice.

"If he hurt me so badly over a dinner, what would he do to me if he had been here to see that almost happen?" she couldn't help but think, sobering herself up quickly.

Alex: ( as he pulls back he thinks for a second) I guess your right fans would not be too happy with us but i'd Certaintly risk a loss of a few fans after all your far more important ( the crowd finally leaves them be) phew that was annoying ( he looks at her again) wow Miri you wouldn't be Abit flustered from what I just did are you?

Evan's determination to win the next rounds sets in and can be seen in his drunken posture. "Guess!" "Beer." Evan throws his arms in the air and smiles. "Wooo, I won!" Evan sits up and slams his hands on the counter. "Red Wine!" The glass is poured and Evan begins drinking. "You planning on going home before you pass out? Or do I have to call you a cab and throw you in it when the time comes?" Evan puffs up his cheeks and puts the wine down. "That's rude, I'm trying to enjoy my drink and you are thinking about me leaving?" The bartender shrugs. "Well it's nice to know ahead of time, that way I don't have to deal with your unconscious body for any longer then I should." Evan finishes his drink and pushes the glass forward. "I don't pass out here that often..." "The last time you did was last week, and the week before that you had a three day streak going." Evan looks down in shame. "I guess I like alcohol a bit too much." Evan raises the glass to the bartender and looks up with a huge smile. "Well it's not like I have anyone at home to complain." "Whisky?" Evan closes his mouth but retains his smile and whispers "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer." Putting a lot of emphasis on the 'e' was just a symptom of his intoxication. A mug is filled and passed to him. After he grabs the mug he hears the voice addressing him. He turns his head slightly to get a look at the man. "Depends what you mean by that, I used to be many things. And I'm sure soon I will be able to say 'I used to have two kidneys.' " Evan giggles at his own joke then takes a big gulp of his beer.

"If some of your fans saw what you just tried to do, you would lose more than just a few, Romeo. I can promise you that, and that's just on your second day in town," Mariah replied, making sure to be quiet still even without the crowd, casually dodging his question with a feline-like grace. "It's nice to see that you see me as more important that your fans, however, although that may change as the games progress. After all, having a lot of fans that look up to you to help them and save them is a wonderful incentive to rack up more points, and in your situation, that's exactly what you're after, isn't it?" she teased with a wink. Her head was finally beginning to feel normal, and she couldn't be more grateful for it.

Alex: ( he looks off in the distance) of course I'm after the points and saving people would be the easiest way to get them but truth be told I don't save people for the points I save these people because I want too I stop crimes because I want too because I use my powers to help the people the points are really just a benefit and something that helps me get closer to my goal of becoming king and don't get me wrong my fans are important to me but not because their my fans but because they Are all civilians of sternbild that I will protect to the best of my ability.....I have too...(he unclenches his fists as his hands relax as he looks at her) I'm sorry I was rambling I didn't mean to bore you with such trivial detAils

"To be honest with you, I don't think you could bore me, Alex. You're a very interesting person, and I believe that I could sit here all day with you if it would give me more of an open window on how you work," Mariah replied with a tender smile. She pulled her gaze from him and looked to the surroundings as well in time to see two young girls playing with a ball run past them. "I understand what you mean, as well, although I have no desire to fight for the name. I'm only here to do what I can to help the civilians. If I have a few fans here or there or get a few points for each capture I get, so be it, but I'm not striving to get either. As long as I know I've done what I can to help the people in trouble, I feel better about things..." She let out a tender sigh and laid her head back onto his shoulder, watching the children laugh and play before her.

Alex: yeah I know what you mean you really want to know more About me huh?( Alex as well looks at the two girl as he looks away as he think back to his past but he nudges it out of his mind) I got to sAy that's good news afterAll I'd like to know more about you as well but in due time I suppose I understand what you mean and I completely agree because we have these powers I believe we need to use them to make a difference we need to use our powers to protect the lives of others and help them in anyway we can...you comfortable I don't think I've ever seen you so relaxed

"Am I not supposed to be relaxed around you? You already know more about me than over half the people in town, as I told you earlier, so why should I have to worry about being uncomfortable around you?" Mariah replied with a playful smirk, although she didn't know if he could exactly see it with how she was laying. The smirk carried through in her voice, however, so she knew he would understand. The young girls' mother came over and took them by the hand, leading them away with a promise of ice cream. The girls became excited and immediately followed her lead, the older of the two taking the ball in her free hand. They looked so happy as they left, laughing at what appeared to be nothing as only children do.

"Would you prefer it if I were more uptight with you again, Alex? If so, all you have to do is say the word," she teased once more, a laugh accompanying it this time.

Alex: now why would I want that ( he smirks back at her) I'm comfortAble as well you know I was just making sure you were bu I suppose that's the reaction I get for being a gentleman ( his tone was obvious that of a joking tone but after awhile of sitting down he watches the fountains water flow near by where their sitting as he lets his kind water ) its strange being around you is really quite relaxing ( after a moment) now seems Anout right ( after a moment he wraps his arm around her) something still seems strange about earlier but I'm not gonna let it bother me...

"Just try not to get too comfortable with anything in this town," Mariah said softly, breaking the silence that had befallen them. She didn't want to seem like she was being personal in her statement, but she wanted to get the point across as well, and now seemed the best time so far to do so. "Things around here aren't always as they seem, Alex, and I'd hate to see anything interfere with your plans that shouldn't have. I've seen it happen to a lot of people around here, so..." She paused for a moment, rolling the words she wanted to say next around in her mind a little before she spoke again.

"Just be careful, I suppose."

Alex: hmm so your telling me to allways be on guard around everything in this town does that mean even around ( he gazes into her eyes) cause that would Certaintly turn out to be quite unfortunate for me...anyway miri if I didn't know any better I'd say you sound like your worried about me? ( his tone is jokingly but his question earlier was obviously serious)

Man: hmm now that Certaintly interesting I thought for sure you were the champion of this bar the one who could drink the most? ( he laughs playfully) to got that right we all used to be something at some point in our lives...glad to see I'm not the only one with 1 good kidney ( he takes a swig of his drink as he orders more)

He seemed to be taking her a lot more personal than she had hoped he would. It was a little unnerving, but she remained calm and played it off well. "I'm not trying to scare you away or anything, Alex, I assure you, but I do want you to be careful. There were some people present at the party last night that weren't too happy with the way things played out with your arrival, and I've noticed a few people today thinking similarly. That's all I meant."

She sat up with a small stretch and turned to look at him with a smile. "Anyway, I should probably get going. I have a few things I need to get done today, and you probably need to go as well. I would hate to hold you up."

Alex: ( he stands up with her) yeah I actually have to spend sometime I backing some stuff in my apartment so I have a pretty busy night unfortunately ( as marieh begins to walk away he grabs her hand and pulls her in to kiss her as pulls back he whispers " maybe that was the right moment" as waves her off as he walks off himself and they both head in their separate directions) I'll see you around Miri ( he walks off in his own direction)

As Mariah walked off, her fingertips brushing faintly against her lips, she couldn't keep a tear from slipping down her cheek. "Why did he have to do it? He couldn't just let things go... Damn it, Romeo, you're going to get us both killed after all..." She pulled herself together before she reached a strand of apartments on the outskirts of town, her face almost becoming expressionless as she knocked on the door of the last room on the top floor. The door unlocked and opened after a second knock, allowing her to step inside before it shut seemingly on it's own.

"You look so upset, my dear. Why is that? I hear you've had such a good morning, after all..." Damien asked from beside her. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her back against his chest gently.

"He got in my head earlier, Damien. Did he tell you that? You promised that he wouldn't do that..." she replied flatly. She was trying her hardest to not let him see her upset, but she had had her thoughts played around with earlier.

"Perhaps he did so because you promised to help him succeed in claiming the title, and yet here you are spending all of your time with the newcomer, who also wants the title. He had to remind you that you already belong to someone," he replied with a sigh, resting his cheek against the top of her head. "Surely you didn't expect him not to get a little upset at your actions, did you?"
