Luca stopped as he looked at the girl and paused. He quickly began to laugh very, very hard. He laughed for a few seconds before he stopped to catch his breath and look at her. "Yes, I'm sure she would let you ride Fluffy," he told her as he rubbed her cheek with his human arm and smiled. "You're so cute when you're embarrassed, but it was a good question... so... uh... which was is your home. THe sooner I get you home safely, the sooner I can worry less about you until I come by to pick you up tomorrow for school," he told her as he rested his arm on her shoulder. "I swear I'll do my best to let no bad things happen to you," he said with a smile.

"Really...?" Aelina smiled, flushing a bit at his complement, but genuinely happy that Luca thought she could get a ride on Fluffy. She was already pointing toward an old house when she heard Luca state that he'd come get her in the morning. Surprise registered through her, though outwardly, she only momentarily froze. "Please, you don't have to go that far just for me, Luca... I-I'll be alright, really..."

Luca bent over and began to press his index finger against her forehead and push her forehead gently with his finger. "Well, what if it isn't just for you. What if I want to stop by tomorrow morning and walk with you to school for me as well?" he asked her, smiling as they neared her home. "If you won't let me do it JUST for you, then how about I do it for you to keep you safe, and for me to know that you are safe and not being assaulted by some douche?" he asked her, smiling as he removed his finger and smiled. "After all, what's wrong with a little protection."

"........" She had nothing to say. In truth, she really didn't know what to say to that. But She didn't have to study him to see he meant it and he'd come the next morning anyway. And so she admitted defeat. "O-okay..." she agreed before she stopped them as they came up to an older looking building that was dark and shadowed already despite the light of dusk. "Thank you, Luca. I'll see you tomorrow," she said to him as she moved to walk up to the door.

"Y-yeah, later!" he said as he watched her leave and started off towards his own home. LUca was rather exhausted and knew the sad reality of what tomorrow meant: A war with either Mack or the Mishapen. Neither of those sounded like a particularly smart idea, but there was little choice, really. They needed to take the basement before they could move up in the school... literally.

Gray hadn't necessarily reverted back to his state of mind. Something had clicked, something new. Like a new part of his mind had opened up to him. However, he still hadn't gained himself back. "You shot me," he said almost eerily calm. He hadn't even flinched when it hit him. He didn't even need Jesabell's support as he walked up the steps, and left the restroom. "Are you coming?" he asked as he turned to face Jesabell his voice still calm and unchanging.

Jesabell hit him where she had shot him. "Of course I am, you idiot. Fluffy, go." She tossed her anither dog treat and the barghest ran off into the basement. "Ask another stupid question like that and I'll shoot you again, and I'll make sure it doesn't just pass through muscle. Also, you owe me a new bandanna."

Gray still didn't flinch from the pain that was caused. "Acknowledged," was all he said as they climbed the steps.

She grabbed him by the shoulder and made him face her. "Alright, who are you and what have you done with my panzy?" Jesabell pulled out a metal rod about as wide as her thumb and a little longer than her hand. She pointed it at him and the end lit up blue while making a buzzing noise.

"Huh Jesabell what are you?" He immediately screamed in pain, and fell to his knees. Then wrapped his hands around the gunshot woud, "What the hell?!"

"Hold that thought Gray." She held the sonic screwdriver up for a moment. "Appears human, but what was that? Maybe there's a chip in his head, or some sort of possession. Might have to dissect." She put the sonic back away and put an arm around Gray. "Come on, let's get you to the nurse. And don't whine, don't act like you haven't been shot just don't whine about it, I told you I would shoot you if you survived. If you didn't want to get shot you shouldn't have gone through with your terrible plan."

"So you shot me?! Wait...What happened to Yelrah? I didn't even see him. I mean. How did I get inside? I was leaving the restroom and..." Gray suddenly stopped talking as he rubbed his head, vying for memories

"Memory loss? That's not a good sign. I'll tell you what I can, after we get to the nurse." She plucjed the earpiece off his ear and bagged it.
At the nurse's office. "We keep coming back here today. You do remember what you called me earlier don't you?" She had his and her earpieces lying on a table and was doing sonicing them.

"Well yeah, when we first met i was pressed, somewhat awkwardly against a wall. That's old news. I'm asking what happened after I left the restroom. Not what happened this morning"

Jesabell soniced Gray for a second. "Maybe a few other memory issues too. But more importantly. Put this in." She handed him the earpiece back, and put her own back in too. "They double as recording devices, so you'll get to hear what happened." When he had it in, she tapped hers and they began replaying the events starting after she had given them out, back in her lab.

"Ah...What? This....This isn't me. This isn't me at all. But...my voice..."

She shrugged, "I thought it was weird too, but weird is this school's middle name." She took the earpiece back when they were done and Zaz walked in carrying a roller luggage bag which he handed to Jesabell and tottered off, back to the lab. She hopped up out of her chair. "Ok, I think we should go home for the night and sleep, I'm sure there will be plenty to do tomorrow. We'll look into Ghost Rider you then."

Jesabell supported Gray with one arm and dragged the luggage behind her as they walked home. "So you live with your parents? Any siblings?"
