Or better yet "It's in homing mode"(refering to the baseball bat.

you could say that about a lot of things, but companies still end up sueing.
although this isn't sony :P
but this is far too small a thing to be noticed, let alone be considered for sueing or anything XD

would be good though >: D

xD Alright! I'm going to make a club next year at school~ The SOS Brigade. I suppose it'll just be an anime fanclub though, since I don't think the school would accept a club that's about "saving the world by overloading it with fun".

I just finished episode 14. I'm so lost. Well, not really. But it's strange that it's not actually episode 14. Which makes it really weird. Am I making sense?

Haruhi is a series that's episodes are in order, but not really. You pick up the story, but it's like jumping back and forth from one point in time to another. There's a novel like that, but I forgot what it's called... Anyways, when you finish the series try watching all of the episodes in chronological order and you'll notice that some things make less sense.

The different orders of the series are HERE.

Also...
Check out the "Advetures of the SOS Brigade" website. There are links to previous episodes on the right. This series has the same homemade feel to it that the first episode of Haruhi had... -_- It is... "different."

It's a wonder how big an impact a 14-episode anime has had...

I can't beleive you actually said that, regardless of the fact it's true. There must be something about combining anime with god which just make's everyone go crazy for it.

I mean, it worked well for evangellion. it's worked well so far for the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi.

As for the novel, I remember reading something about it on wikipedia but i can't think of what right now. I do know that it pile's everything in chronological order and that (I think) the anime is based solely off of only the first book entitled the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi (something along those line's). The sequal's replace melancholy with other word's but the only one I can think of right now is boredom.

When I said novel, I wasn't referring to the Haruhi manga series. I was referring to an actual novel that's totally unrelated to anime altogether.

Oh, Yuki kicks ass with everything. 8) I just figured I'd give Kyon and Haruhi a chance.

And then there's Asakura's "Die. ^.^!" She sounded so happy about it. Poor Kyon.

yeah, the novel came first. which is about 8 vol's long i think.
the anime story takes place in the first volumes, but has scenes from other volumes (like the murder mystery one).

there is a fan group that had almost finished translating the lot, last time i checked and so far, i've read about 1.5 volumes. but i've stopped as of late :'(

Okay, I'll lay it out plainly because you're just not getting it.

The novel I was referring to has nothing to do with Haruhi Suzumiya or any other kind of Japanese entertainment. It is a regular piece of intelligent literature that is completely unrelated to anything Japanese.

Seriously...

Then why are you mentioning it if you werent talking about Haruhi Suzumiya related stuff in this thread? (and besides, it isn't Japanese)

If you read what I said earlier, I mentioned it because, like Haruhi Suzumiya, it does not tell the story in chronological order but it still does tell a cohesive story.

See, when people actually read posts, things make a lot more sense. I never implied that the novel had anything to do with Haruhi as far as content or origin goes. I never said it was from Japan, and I never said it was part of the Haruhi franchise. You didn't read what I said and for some reason inferred something that I didn't write.

but... like it doesn't need to be taken so serious about it. Chill out by avoiding bold and large texts dude. -.-

The point of the bold text was to make it as easily understandable as possible since what I had wrote was not.

I have to back up silentop on that one. The bold/large textiness was a last resort because after his other attempts weren't working.

oh, you're not on about the suzumiya haruhi no yuuutsu novel, but a totally differnent one then? O_o

ah i see, you were just saying there was a novel that also wasn't in total chronological order, i see. but it's not as if it's a rare thing and it was as if this anime was the first to ever do something like that though :S

i thought you meant, not the suzumiya harui manga, but the suzumiya haruhi novel lol, sorry :P

not too sure what that "It is a regular piece of intelligent literature that is completely unrelated to anything Japanese." was for though.
the suzumiya harui novel was also a regular piece of intelligent literature. it was japanese though :P

but yeah, my reply still fits this thread, just not as a reply to your comment about that other novel :)
