Pretty much that she's playable, and she's "the same fearsome opponent you fought in the arena", now on your side. This was pretty easy to see coming, as she's a good person, she's just under the impression that Haseo is this horrible cheater... The whole coma situation will probably jumpstart her understanding of what's going on... As Pai told her, she knows nothing... Now like, Tenrow or Sakaki in your party... I doubt that... Hell, Haseo wouldn't even let them in...

Was he not referred to as 'Kite of the Azure Flame' by Yata? I believe that was his official name according to the Administration while 'Tri-Edge' was the name given to him because of the rumours surrounding him and his triple-edge blades.
Is he? I remember Yata saying "Tri-edge". He might have said "Kite" at one point in the game, but if he did I totally forgot. Anyone know?
And he's almost certainly called "Tri-Edge" at least partly because of his mark... Ovan tells Atoli to "seek out the 'tri-edge'", talking about the mark...
Umbra wrote:Both do seem likely and I have to agree with you, maybe Haseo proved he could defeat her fairly or she wishes to help Haseo free Endrance in order to fight him? Until a translation is given, there's no way of knowing for sure.
I think Endrance dropped to the bottom of her list. It's possible you'll get her in much the same way as Balmung. In a quest in the last game she seemed to start rethinking her opinion of Haseo.

Probably. She's like "Haseo, come adventure with me!" so it doesn't seem like a field. Ehe, I wonder what happens to Yowkows lackeys...

Lemme point out another fact, Located in youtube is a Sh*t load of cutscenes, in the final fight where Tri Edge becomes Azureflame god Kuhn says

Is he an Epitaph wielder or an AIDA?
Then Pai says something along the lines of
Regardless of it he must be stopped.

For all we know Azure Flame god could be an Epitaph, which means that if Orca and Balmung come back in a state of tri-edge-ness then they will be the same, Epitaphs or AIDAs. but another fact is that so far with everything i've seen, that Tri edge never EVER has the black matter around him. Endrance was an AIDA PC and could manipulate the matter, if Tri edge is the same he would also manipulate the black matter as well, but he doesn't So if thats the case that makes Tri Edge a type of AIDA but still he's a player based program, and an Epitaph wielder to boot. Which means that Orca and Balmung will probably be ones too.

I guess that's true, it wouldn't be too difficult to persuade her to join...maybe she follows you and sees something to do with Tri-Edge or the AIDA and realises its more than just a case of cheating.

I'm just glad she's an ally! ^_^ She's a very cool character.

I do agree with the fact that Tri-Edge is not an AIDA in the same sense as, lets say, Mia was. He seems to be an entirely separate entity.

The only problem with that is that only nine Epitaph-Wielder PCs were ever created and eight of them belong to the Infinity Eight, the ninth being the Dummy PC used by Amagi when Jun stole Tarvos.

shifting gears a little.

With regards to fighting both Orca and Balmung in vol. 2

remember in the original 4 games you fought more phase bosses with each game, so why not continue the pattern?

also, who says it's morganna, it's more likely that the one who created tri-edge, and equally corrupt versions of Balmung and Orca is AURA or what remains of her.

After all those legendary players were her 'champions' so to speak.

and lets remember that Aura wants to remain away from the world, terminal disc supports this, so then she would do everything she could to prevent Project GU. and what better way to stop it then to reincarnate the most powerful players of 'the world'.

If these two or anything like Tri-Edge, then he might not have been that Dummy PC and that ninth epitaph may still be an unknown.

Actually he just asks
 Hey, is that... an avatar?
And Pai says
 I don't know, but data-wise it's very close.

I'm pretty sure Endrance wasn't an AIDA-PC, just just hung out with an AIDA...
It just really doesn't seem like Tri-Edge is an AIDA... They do different things... AIDA don't leave marks...

"Going away" implies that she no longer influences anything at all though...

Or not even a plot point. Though it might be. Still, I think the fate of that PC and Amagi are probably linked...

hey someone said that in the terminal disc they said there were 9 epitaphs or avatars and Kuukai post that Pai says
And Pai says
Spoiler:
 I don't know, but data-wise it's very close.
this mean thet he is not an epitaph like Haseo and co. but the 9th could be Avatar Cubia

On the Tri-edge discussion.

Haseo has also refered to him as simply Kitta Kuro (Dark Kite) in one of the Trailers.

It is more of a preference thing:

Dark Kite of the Azure Flames
Kite of the Azure Flames
Dark Kite (LoTB Manga omake, GU)
Tri-edge.

They mean basically the same thing.

Is that true? I've only ever heard Haseo refer to him as Tri-Edge, Dark Kite was simply a name thought up by the fans who didn't know his name was Tri-Edge.

As far as I know, he's only ever been known as Tri-Edge and Kite of the Azure Flame, of course, calling him by his full title all the time would be ridiculous, Balmung and Orca were usually known simply as Balmung and Orca.

Cubia isn't a phase! He isn't an element of Morganna! He's the opposing force of Kite's bracelet! He's gone!

But Triedge might be some sort of opposing force like Cubia... Or the remnants of the first bracelet... Or the dummy avatar... Though all these theories aside from the first one seem to be weakened by the cover to Vol. 2....

Which trailer? I've never heard Haseo call him anything but "Tri-Edge"....

I've never read ZERO so i was wondering. Do you think the aspect of 'Dark Sora' is related to that of 'Dark Kite' or Tri-edge? For all anyone knows dark sora could have been describing a tri-edge-like version of Sora. Carl may have been dealing with one of the first Aida's without even knowing it. or at least a precursor to what would become an aida. or maybe not aida; replace that with epitaph wielder.

Dark Sora was...

just Sora with Skeith attached. Sora's consciousness was trapped like Tsukasa, and he was forced to go after Aura. when people interfered, Skeith would take over and take action. Sora is actually the first Epitaph Weilder. There is no actual "Dark Sora" that would be like Tri-Edge.

In the trailer that was released at the Japanese Game Show in 2003. Or at least I think it was in 2003....

TAF trailer at about 1:42.

Also "Dark Sora" has a different name in //Zero, I believe. Also on one of the Liminality episodes there is a silhouette of him.

Lol, that wasn't what I expected. ^^;; Actually he's saying "yatsu ga kaette kuru", which means "he's coming back". Nothing about Kite. Well, kinda, the "he" refers to Tri-Edge...

I've seen him in Analysis and other writing as just Sora, in a different script from how his name is usually written...

This may sound stupid, but what is Crimson VS. Is it some online-dueling thing (Online Arena?) If so, how does one access it on ones import version (japan) on their console (usa).

It's a fake (kinda, you can play it with the G.U. CCG cards) online cardgame in the .hack universe. You can't play it in volume 1, the service isn't available. Starting Volume 2 you can.
